We just returned from the beautiful Charlevoix area and spent 2 nights at Auberge des Eaux Vives located about 10 minutes east of the town of La Malbaie. Everything was first-class from the accommodations (quiet and well appointed), the location, the fantastic breakfasts prepared by Johanne and the very attentive Sylvain who was the perfect host helping us with sightseeing... Beautiful setting, lovely breezy rooms, amazing breakfasts and very attentive and friendly host... zero complaints. Overall this was one of the nicest B&Bs I have ever stayed in. It's well-equipped and also offers lovely views of the St. Lawrence. It's a bit pricey but very worth it.

The other reviewers are right! This B&B is simply wondeful! First, the house itself is gorgeous. It is well located and has a very nice view of the River. The rooms are well appointed and well decorated. Everything was clean. Our hosts Sylvain and Johanne are very nice. Sylvain is the one doing the talking - he is warm and... More

If you are in La Malbaie, this is the place to stay. Gorgeous place and views, excellent breakfast, and two of the nicest hosts you'll find. Be prepared for breakfast to be the highlight of your day. THANK YOU Sylvain and Johanne!!!

My husband and I stayed 3 nights at this exquisite B&B last weekend, April 2014, and we absolutely loved it!! An experience we will hold on to and cherish. We will most definitely go back.. Sylvain is a wonderful host, warm, very friendly and so discrete. Johanne prepares a well-balanced 'out of this world' culinary breakfast. Admirable!! Every room in... More

At the risk of sounding repetitive ,the reviews for this Band B are so good, I will add a few cents worth. Sylvain is the consumate host, friendly, warm and welcoming without being intrusive. The rooms are delightful, location excellent, a wonderful place to stay in La Malbaie. We loved the breakfasts, help with making dinner reservations. Highly recommended.

We absolutely loved our stay at this comfortable B & B in beautiful La Malbaie. The view overlooking the Mighty St. Lawrence was breathtaking and the decor of the home was charming, yet modern at the same time. We particularly enjoyed the 4 course breakfasts that were professionally served by Sylvain (and prepared by Johanne). They have everything done perfectly... More

My wife and I stayed two nights in late September. We stayed in the Petite Ourse room with a great view of the St Lawrence. The room and bed were very comfortable with a small side room with a TV. We saw two Humpback Whales from just below the house, surfacing in the St Lawrence, one late afternoon. The B&B... More

There is little to add to what has already been said about Auberge des Eaux Vives; it is absolutely superb. From the moment you arrive you will fall in love with the place and wish you had booked for longer. Everything about the place has been considered in fine detail and cannot be faulted in any way. The rooms are... More

An exceptional experience in a gorgeous setting! Sylvain and Johanne clearly hold themselves to very high standards as innkeepers and have thought through every detail...yet it all seems relaxed and effortless. The clean, modern design is soothing and allows the spectacular views to become the focus. And the breakfasts are just over-the-top amazing! We had booked a kayak tour with... More
