The Auberge des Eaux Vives is a very special place that we heartily recommend. The decor is Quebec modern - not tired old "antiques" trying to look rustic. The elegantly decorated bedroom we stayed in had a king sized bed, a balcony with lovely views of the harbour and St Laurent coastline, and a beautifully equipped large bathroom. But what... More

Joanne and Sylvain know how to host - coffee, tea, even beer at guests disposal. Breakfasts were scrumptious and had enough food to keep you going until mid-afternoon. Room was spotless, modern and comfortable. Home is set up for guests and there are three different beautifully appointed areas where anyone can relax. Books, movies, CD’s, games are all available. Lawn... More

We stayed here 3 nights. Sylvain is an amazing host and Joanne is a fabulous cook. The Inn is spotless and Sylvain has arranged everything one could possibly need. Breakfast was a 4 star wonder, smoothies, then a variety of fruits and yogurts, followed by omelets, crepes, etch. It just doesn't get any better. The weather was nice and we... More

Our party of four recently stayed 3 nights at Auberge des Eaux Vives in La Malbaie. We could not have chosen a better B&B! The house is beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. The view of the river is stunning. If you want to visit the surrounding area, the auberge is perfectly located, so that you can easily visit from Baie... More

My husband is not a fan of B&B accommodation but this changed his perception. The room, shared space, breakfast and setting were amazing. We watched beluga whales from our private deck while enjoying a glass of wine on our first evening. Sylvain is very welcoming and his wife, Joanne, is an amazing cook.

My husband and I just got back from Eaux Vives where we were extremely well received. Our host Sylvain was very warm and hospitable. He gave us lots of good advice on restaurants and places to ski. The four-course breakfast and the one supper we opted for were incredibly generous and delicious. The room and the communal areas were gorgeous,... More

We stayed there in August, 2012. This inn is kind of modern yet we found it very appealing. It was clean, quiet and comfortable. The breakfasts were good and they recommended a restaurant called "La Patriarche" which was fantastic. We would return...

We recently stayed at L’Auberge des Eaux Vives for three nights and we fell in love with the place. Our room is overlooking the river and the marina. The place is charming, convivial, spotless and we truly appreciated the tranquility of the place, the atmosphere is very zen. We enjoyed a different and delicious breakfast-brunch every morning. The hosts are... More

Auberge des Eaux Vives is by far our favorite B&B that we have ever stayed in and we loved every minute of our time spent there. We were warmly greeted the minute we stepped foot into Sylvain and Johanne's stunningly beautiful home, and we were delighted with our gorgeous room (Brume de mer) which was spotlessly clean. I agree with... More

Spent several days. It's magical. Beautiful location. Wonderful hosts. Everything you would want from a boutique hotel, only better. Breakfasts were creative and delicious..different every day. Room overlooking the river was large, comfortable, and very clean. Only complaint is lack of blackout curtains. We like it dark overnight. I would highly recommend this auberge.
