We stayed 4 nights while touring the Eastern Townships. The location is central, so we were able to cover a lot of ground. The name of the Gite refers to an expression in French that means "sleep like a marmot (groundhog)' and we certainly did. Marcelle is welcoming and ensures that all her guests' needs are attended to. Her breakfasts... More

While attending the Canada Summer Games (CSG) in the Sherbrooke, Quebec area in early August, my wife and I stayed for nine days at this wonderful B&B. We found Gite La Marmotte on Trip Advisor and based on the very positive reviews already posted, we booked it. It was an excellent choice. While about a half-hour out of Sherbrooke, it... More

Had the opportunity to stay one night late May as we attended a concert at the local cabaret. The owner was accommodating, resourceful and just simply nice. The whole B&B was spotless and nice decorated, where the ancestral elements were well blended with current luxury elements...simply charming! The rooms were spacious, bathrooms were luxurious with latest zen plumbing, comfortable beds,... More

Four of us (2 copules) enjoyed our stay at La Gite Marmotte. The B&B was conveniently located to North Hatley, Magog, etc. The rooms were reasonably sized, the beds comfortable...although the sheets were of poor quality and should be replaced. The bathrooms were nice. Breakfast was OK...not as plentiful or as innovative as other B&B's we've stayed in. The town... More

Conveniently located near many charming towns, artisan studios, great restaurants. The b&b is very new, very well maintained with up to date furnishings. Bedroom 'Seductrice' and adjoining bathroom were spacious. Although this room faces the front of the house and the adjacent roadway, it was very quiet at night. Two course breakfast (yougurt/granola/fruits + whole grain home made waffles). The... More

Gite La Marmotte is perfect for a weekend getaway from New England. It is ideally located near Lake Mahog in a small town with a number of good restaurants (La Bicoq is excellent). The staff is very attentive, the breakfast is copious and the rooms are comfortable and clean. In short, a charming B&B at a great price.
