An older property that is very well maintained. We had a room with main entrance facing the highway with a balcony with a nice view of the Baie des Chaleurs. The room do not have air conditioning but opening windows for cross-ventilation cools the rooms down overnight. Light sleepers may be bothered by the proximity of the main road (Route... More

I couldn't have stayed in the same motel as most other reviewers. The fifty's decor may be retro, but at $116 a night, this place is a dump; at half that price it may approach okay. No air conditioning, we baked all night. Aside from ancient wallpaper, a closet for a bathroom and iffy carpet, I haven't seen a TV... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Motel Carleton-sur-Mer in July for a friend's wedding. The Motel is app. 15 mins away from the city center so you will need to drive into town for pretty much anything. The great thing is the motel is located directly by the water and offers a beautiful view, especially if you are staying... More

We picked this based on reviews and location and were very pleased. We are on the Gaspe once a year and have tried a number of places. (The one we tried last year ran out of hot water....quelle disaster after a week long river trip). I corresponded by email with Marielle whose English was very good and she was very... More

We have pretty much tried all the motels in the surrounding area and I think this one is the best so far for the price. The bathroom, towels and sheets were very clean. The room contained a coffee maker, refrigerator and hair dryer as well as real glasses (which is not always the case). I do recommend to anyone travelling... More

We just spent 8 nights at this motel and enjoyed it very much. We were in the area to x country ski and snow shoe. It is a perfect location for these activities with facilities a short drive away. The motel was clean, with a lovely kitchenette available to us. The view of the Bay of Chaleur is spectacular and... More

We were traveling by motorcycle around the Gaspé, and we were camping most of the time, but this had been a particularly wet and cool day, so we decided a motel was in order. It turned out to be a surprisingly clean and comfortable room at a very reasonable price. As others have mentioned, it seems to be very pet... More

We stayed here the first week of September. This was the fourth stop on our Gaspe tour. We arrived after midnight and the innkeeper (Daniel) was very gracious about the whole thing -- much appreciated after a long, cross-country drive from Riviere-du-Loup in the dark. The motel itself is an old but very well maintained roadside motel. Unlike other older... More

Last Sunday had to be in New Richmond for a meeting - so decided to stay over night - we had friends travelling with us (they had a dog) They had tried for a room and were quoted an amount....we ythough it was a little steep...but with the dog and everything we didn't know what to expect. We though we... More

Every cloud has a silver lining! The front desk of the Comfort Inn booked in advance at Campbellton for $129/nite had difficulty with our booking. When it was still unresolved after an hour we decided to head back into Quebec as all of our experiences there on our cross-country trip had been very positive. The Quebec Travel Guide showed the...
