We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We had a room on the top floor and loved the character of the building. The grounds are beautiful. When we first arrived I was worried about noise from the adjacent road, but it turned out to be very quiet and I never heard a thing in our room. The owners are friendly and helpful... More

Thank you Judy and family for taking us in after we were cancelled by the Dalvay Inn, caring for us, upgrading us to a suite which was a blessing, for being helpful and informative, to name a few. It was such a pleasure meeting you!! Our suite was a dream come true, something we have never had. Here we were... More

Our travel books were a little inaccurate about this Inn's location. Luckily, a woman at a local gas station remember this place and pointed up the road to its location (we were just wandering the island with no advance reservations which you can do in September). I enjoyed the personality of Mr. McDonald. We stayed in the adjoining building upstairs... More

As Innkeepers of a bed and breakfast we tend to stay in as many b&bs as possible. A recent retreat to Prince Edward Island was no different and we stayed at the Barachois Inn. We booked over the phone and the Innkeeper Judy made sure we chose a great room. As we drove up the road to the picturesque setting... More

Thank you so much for your kind words. We are so pleased to have happy guests and we hope that you will return to the Barachois Inn again soon. The Fall Flavours Festival begins in September and there are many wonderful events happening throughout the province showcasing the best of what PEI has to offer. Hope to see you then.... More

We stayed 3 nights at the Barachois Inn and were totaly delighted by it's charm and the hospitality of the McDonald family. Our room was well kept and absolutely gorgeous. (see photo). The bed was more than comfortable, and the lack of vehicle traffic, resulted in a very sound nights sleep. The grounds are tidy and tastefully designed. The bathroom... More

We both enjoyed our visit to PEI this summer it was a quick get away from our work and we toured the area and took in most of the tourist attractions and this location is a great driving distance to do all your day trips around the island and we enjoyed the property very much. We had a larger room... More

I have never stayed at a B&B. So I didn't know what to expect from a "5" star B&B. I mean overall, it was lovely. However, it was empty. I found it odd that they had a 2 night minimum stay on every room type except the one we stayed in. It was the traditional room on the 3rd floor... More

Thank you for your comments. I will address your questions in this response. This reservation was booked on line one month before the guest's arrival. (June 17, 2013 was the date the reservation which was made for a one night stay on July 16, 2013.) Reservations are confirmed prior to arrival and an email confirmation was sent to the purchaser... When you are planning your wedding anniversary, you feel you would like to spend it in a unique place, especially when you are travelling all the way from Poland. My wife had dreamed of visiting PEI ever since reading “Anne of Green Gables” many years ago, so she took a long time looking for a place that would have THAT... More

We stayed at this expensive B&B and thought it unimpressive with low water pressure, faulty electrics, and an unimpressive breakfast. The Inn was clean, however, the grounds very handsome. The owner and family varied between cold and too friendly. We would not stay here again.

We have received your comments and would like to apologize for the power going down. We were experiencing a heat wave, and even broke a record for PEI. There was tremendous demands on the electrical system with air conditioners running to capacity Unfortunately, a hair dryer, which I am told by our electrician can put a heavy demand on the... More

Barachois Inn is located in a good central spot to explore the whole of Prince Edward Island by car. From here you can do a day trip to the eastern part or the western part or the central. Anne of Geen Gables is located a few Kms away from the hotel. The B&B is a historic building , located away... More
