Last night we ate at this lovely cafe and were entertained by 3 local musicians. Two of us had the fish cakes and the other one had the special, pork tenderloin- all were delicious. The owner, Pat, greeted us warmly, seated us, and was our waiter for the evening( there were other staff too)- At 8:00 the entertainment began, 3... More

This little gem has a killer combination of service, divine food, and live music "at arms reach". Pat's hospitality makes you feel like a long lost relative come home, encouraging you to relax and kick your feet up. Looks are definitely deceiving. You drive up to an old general store with fading shingles and mismatched furniture...and you discover people you... More

If you are tired of everything else, then this is where you need to go! Food is great, extertainment worth every dollar and the guest rooms are homey. Pat and staff are attentive and fun to be with. Leave your preconceived notions outside and just walk in, sit down and enjoy yourself. I am definitely coming back.

In July 2013 I was bicycling the PEI Confederation Trail, and stayed the night at the Trailside Cafe and Inn. My wife was driving and joined me. The Inn had a sold-out concert that night, but we were able to eat dinner at the picnic table outside and hear the music without paying for a ticket. The meals were very... More

We recently went out for the evening with some friends and headed to the Trailside Cafe for an evening of food and entertainment. This place seems to have become quite an unlikely hot spot for phenomenal entertainers, and deservedly so. Don't let the limited menu throw you off. The food we ordered was delicious! The decor is really very quirky... More

We stayed at the Trailside Cafe & Inn one night, had dinner in its restaurant, and also enjoyed the folk music performance that evening. The room was hip/homey and just right for us. The meals were very good and the chef made a special vegetarian dish for our teen daughter. Hosts Pat and Meghann were super-pleasant despite being super-busy. Our... More
