Well worth a visit. Dalvay is a taste of Victorian society on PEI with modern amenities including truly fine dining. Well preserved interior. Period rooms are comfortable and appropriate. The furnishings of the lobby and ample sitting areas are exquisite. Warm crackling fires in giant fireplaces on a rainy morning cheered and gave an indoor oasis for family games. Lots... More

A friend recommended we stay at Dalvay-By-The-Sea and she was right. You can drive there or take a ferry. The sandy beach is a block away and there were no more than 10 people sunning themselves when went there. Of course the water is cold but I saw two guys braving the temperature. Food was terrific. And the staff was... More

Dalvay by the Sea is an elegant Victorian style resort with beautiful grounds and a wonderful restaurant. Staying at the resort allows you free entry into the national park but if you are just going for lunch or high tea you can expect to pay park entrance. A day at the beach after High Tea might be in order to... More

We stayed for two nights here on my dream vacation to PEI. I persuaded hubby to stay here a couple of nights because of it's relation to the Anne movies. I was over the moon about staying in this historic and lovely hotel. But I was a little disenchanted. Although my husband would have preferred to stay in a more... More

We only ate in the restaurant - did not stay in the hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Food was delicious and service was quick. About 2 hours total - perfect length of time. Entrees were very good. Salads to start were nice and cold and quite large. If I was disappointed at all, it was in the dessert.... More

Wonderful small gracious inn with plenty of ambiance. Stayed in a period room in the inn for three nights and made it a point to schedule some time to just soak in the casual, beach atmosphere and the wonderful lawn. Great ocean swimming just a short walk away. It was very hot while we were there and although there was... More

If you want to be relaxed -- and I'm talking the level of relaxation that you feel yourself melting into a lovely pile of vacation induced bliss -- this hotel cannot be beat. We booked one night on a whim and I wish we had stayed an entire week! The location is steps away from the beach, and surrounded by... More

This lovely residence is steeped in history and tradition. Just pulling in the drive transported us to another place and time. We stayed in one of the cottages and it was clean and quaint. The property is a few steps from the ocean where the beach is magnificent. There was nothing not to love about this place. The meals were... More

We reserved a tea time a week prior. The scenery and location is beautiful. I took so many pictures of the building and views. They also had fantastic wi-fi (We were internet deprived.) We weren't served until 40 or more minutes after we were served though ... However, the tea and food were great! I highly recommend the Lady Slipper... More

This hotel is expensive and you're paying mainly for the ambiance, quick access to the beach and some nearby trails. It's unlike your regular hotels with a tv in the room, or a phone. It's like you've gone back in time and are staying in a lodge from the early 1900's (if that appeals to you). There's no air conditioning... More
