We stayed at this location in August. The outside isn't nearly as great as the inside. The cafe has amazing food and the room is perfect. We were traveling around Lake Superior and had stayed in different hotel rooms for almost a week. We moved each night. When we entered our room at Serendipity we were happy with the space... More

Use this fairly frequently when working near Rossport. Have also stayed for pleasure too. Excellent unique rooms, great food in the unique cafe (lunch and dinner), sometimes if lucky- fine live music and the beauty of the Rossport area. Supplement your breakfast box with a hot one if travelling East by stopping in the next village: Schreiber. Lots of great... More

We discovered Serendipity in 2007 and have visited virtually every year since. Mainly on trips to Thunder Bay, although we spent a few days vacation time in 2012. A quiet restful atmosphere, rooms always spotlessly clean. Looking forward to our next visit.

We travelled cross country and this was our most memorable experience. Clean, beautiful and reasonably priced. Local art on display. Cute lil pathway into a beautiful town where you can enjoy the restaurant. We had lake trout and prime rib dinners. Both were perfect. I didn't want to leave this place and will someday return.

We were cycling and needed a break from the rain and road conditions. We went into Rossport and ate at the Serendipity Gardens Cafe. During a great late lunch we discovered that they had accomodation located in a newly built wooden building close by. Our room was unusual but charming with vaulted ceilings and large windows. We had a peaceful... More

What a surprise this was! This unusual building was built by the owner and the huge second floor rooms feature hardwood cathedral ceilings with bright windows all around. I loved the artwork and colourful accents - all sunny oranges and yellows, deep maroons and eggplant. The bed was very soft and comfortable, and the spacious well-appointed bathroom made for a... My wife and I were doing a circle route of Lake Superior. Because of work conflicts, our circle was pushed to late October when many hotels and b&b's are closed for the season. Another B&B owner who was closed for the season referred us to Serendipity. The room was very clean, well kept, reasonably spacious, and has a cabin feel.... More

Stopped here on our way down east. Big room, lots of space with 2 beds, colorful walls with pine bottom half, lots of paintings on walls. Only restaurant in town "Serendipity Gardens Cafe" a short walk away was great. (this is where you actually check in). Carpet could use updating. Also includes Breakfast in a Box (muffins, yogurt and juice).... More

We stopped in Rossport while making the Lake Superior Circle Trip. We had a dog with us so there wasn't a lot of hotel/motels to choose from in the area. The outside of the guest house was different and does not do justice to the rooms. It looked like there were 4 rooms in each unit and 2 units. The... More
