This is our third trip traveling to Northern Manitoba. We have stayed in some sketchy places on our travels. We seem to have severe difficulty finding nice places that don't cost a lot. We usually find small outdated motels that are okay. On our way home last year we stayed in Marathon, ON. I will never ever stay there again,... More

We stayed here one night during our Circle Tour of Lake Superior. We were intrigued by the pictures of the unique architecture and woodwork. We had considered staying at a B&B on the lake, but would have had to share a bathroom and my husband was very uncomfortable doing that. The guest house is affiliated with the Serendipity Gardens Cafe.... More

Our goal for the day was to make it to Thunder Bay but after many stops and short hikes throughout the day, we decided to stop early for the night. We stopped at the Terrace Bay information centre and the very helpful lady provided the Serendipity as an option along with some in Terrace Bay. We chose Rossport and the... More

This is not the place to stay for the price. The room was just OK. It was very dimly lite, plus light bulbs were burned out. I have to take an injection. It was so dim, I had to get the flashlight from the car to able to see. The beds were 'marsh mellows', and pillows were flat, flat. No... More

Arrived a half hour after dark. No reception. Only a sign saying registration was 400 meter beyond, just down the road which I couldn't find. This town, especially this part of town, is extremely dark at night. I'd really hoped to stay here, had been travelling 11 hours. As my cell phone does not work in Canada, I was unable... More

Had a three couples on the circle tour of Lake Superior, we took three of the rooms in the guest house, all wonderful. The town of Rossport is fabulous as well. One of the people in our group had a failed valve stem on a tire, and someone at the cafe hooked him up with a guy down the road... More

The unique architecture was almost cathedral like. The hosts provided everything you needed for a comfortable stay in this romantic coastal village. Roomy and very clean. Walkway to a cozy seating area with views of Lake Superior.

Such a lovely spot for a stopover or a peaceful getaway! The rooms are spotless and private, surrounded by trees, so you feel like you are in a treehouse! It is also just a short walk to the waterfront and beach! We also just love the sound of the train!

My wife and I stayed here on our circle tour of Lake Superior. Unique architecture makes this a fun place to stay. We stayed in one of the upstairs room. It was very clean and roomy. Setting is ok and there is no view of the lake but the accommodations are very nice. A bit of a challenge to haul... More

We thought this was situated on Lake Superior but it is a block or two up the block. Spacious accommodations with thoughtful touches. Nice glassware, a box breakfast presented at check-in. Frig. coffee maker, air conditioned and relaxing. Love the details of the dish ware and condiments provided. The wood interior was charming.
