We found The Willows by chance as we arrived in Rossport, Ontario. We were working our way around Lake Superior and ended up in Rossport based on a dinner recommendation we heard along the way. We had no reservations as we weren't sure how far we would make it. We drove into this charming town, saw The Willows and stopped... More

My husband and I stayed here; one night on our way east and, based on that experience, two nights on our return trip. The entire place is clean and comfortable. I've read earlier reviews and would have to say that perhaps mattresses have been replaced since then because we had a lovely firm mattress (king) in our room. The breakfasts... More

Rooms and common areas were very clean. Mattresses terrible, the king size were like hammocks. Bathrooms were very small - but clean and servicable...but you're likely to bump into something or another if you aren't paying attention. Breakfast was very good and the hostess Dawn quite nice. It just bugs me to pay over $100 for a room with a... More

Great place to stay! We had a choice of rooms, one of which had a jacuzzi. The house was well-equipped and the village was lovely -- the kind of place where you could just hang out for a day or two. The trains were quite loud and made the building shake, so this might not be the place for you... More

Great little community. Quiet with a gorgeous view. Comfortable, modern accommodations. Would stay here again. In the community there is a neat little shop that specializes in Canadian artists of all kinds from jewelry to paintings. There is also a local potter who lives on the island and welcomes you into his home to see his work. For the sports... More

I didn't get the chance to spend a lot of time here, but the time spent was nice. I was happy to get some wifi after a couple of days out of cell service, and had a good night's sleep. Comfortable bed, nice bathroom. Breakfast was delicious, and I was able to order exactly what I wanted the previous night.... More

The Willows Inn is very nice. Clean, large, comfortable rooms, good breakfast. Partial view of Lake Superior from the window. Except for the train, Rossport is a very quiet town. We had hoped to go kayaking but the outfitter had not opened for the year and I heard later that he didn't open at all last summer.

Nice stay, our room was very clean and cozy. The owner was very nice and accommodating. Our room had a great view of the lake and the breakfast was great, especially the homemade bread. This is a real treat

Really enjoyed this B&B. Dawn, the hostess, was very friendly and accomodating. Breakfast menus are provided with several options that you can choose from (incl. hot and cold items) as well as being able to choose what time you want to eat between 7:30-9:30 am. No matter what you choose for breakfast, fresh local bread is available self serve style... More

This could be a charming place except... The owner claimed on the phone that it was pet friendly on the phone, but arriving after 9 hours on the road, were told that they only have 1 room that was pet friendly, and our's wasn't it. (We had made the reservation for that particular room 1 month prior to arriving). Our... More

It is unfortunate that this guest did not like Rossport. Being a rossport business owner, we all want our visitors' stay to be relaxing and enjoyable. Yes, Rossport & the whole north shore of Lake Superior does have a rail line, this is part of our heritage. There is a train probably every four to six hours, but, the duration... More
