While I applaud the restaurant's gluten free offerings, they don't follow proper gluten free protocol. There is no dedicated fryer, and despite what any employee says, it is absolutely not safe for people who have to eat gluten free for medical reasons. Any crumb in the fryer (and there will be one despite the high temperatures) is dangerous. We did... More

Stayed at the Canalside in July for a weekend of cycling with friends. Very convient location to a nice flat bike trail that we cycled from Port Colborne to the Peace Bridge and back (approximately 70km). Our hosts at the Canalside, Greg and Rosemarie were fantastic and contributed greatly to our weekend of friendship. After our ride, we sat on... More

Forget about fighting traffic heading north to cottage country and head south to Port colborne. Great inn to stay in close to the lake. Located on the towns boutique street in a 100 year old building along the canal. The suite was large and made us feel like we were in Europe. Great to watch the ships go by and... More

The room was clean, spacious , bed was comfortable and the shower had lots of hot water !! This is not 5 star accomodation, but it met all our needs. On top of the location, the owner- Greg- was terrific.... More

This trip marked our third time in Port, and it never disappoints! The hosts, Greg and Rosemari, are hospitable beyond measure, ready to do those little extras that make the stay special. My husband and I will be back next year!

We had pulled pork and fish and chips! Delicious! Server was awesome and very friendly! Will be coming back for sure! Restaurant is very nicely decorated and there is a balcony so you can sit outside on a nice day. Bathrooms are very clean! Check this place out if you want good service and food:)
