For 19 years our historic and restored bed and breakfast continues to offer modern amenities with extras offered to our guests. You'll especially enjoy our farm to table breakfast served every morning. Guests can relax in the garden gazebo while listening to the fountain or on the screened verandah. Montreal Gazette 2020 has referred to us as a "Cyclist Haven" and we have been awarded 2020's Best Bicycle Friendly Business for the Niagara Region by Bike Ontario. Close to three cycling and hiking trails. Further activities in town and surrounding areas can be viewed on our website. Across the street is Showboat Festival Theatre and Roselawn Centre offering live performances. Or stroll downtown to the Canal District with its boutique stores, unique restaurants, bakeries, cafes. While walking the canal Promenade you'll see ships of the world glide through the centre of town. Or sail into town at Sugarloaf Marina or the canal district, dock and walk to our bed and breakfast. Our area has a number of beaches that dot the Lake Erie shoreline, along with our very own Nickel Beach in town. As well we're not far from Niagara Falls, the wine region and the USA border. So come, make some memories on the Best Coast of Lake Erie. I look forward to welcoming you soon to Talwood Manor Bed and Breakfast, one of many Port Colborne's hidden gems.
Staying at Talwood was one of the highlights of a 5 day bike trip. Judith clearly loves running a BNB. There was so much attention to detail that made our brief overnight stay feel luxurious and breakfast was fabulous. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. A bonus for us was her sweet kitty rescues (who don’t go on the guest side of the house—so no worries about allergies). Judith gave us so many great suggestions for the rest of our trip as well. Don’t hesitate for a second about staying at Talwood! You won’t regret it.

Talwood Manor is just a lovely elegant place to stay with the British touch throughout the dining/living room as well as the bedroom and bathroom upstairs! Our breakfast consisted of a fruit served in a goblet followed by a warm egg benedict dish afterwards served along with rye bread with local produced jams. Oh and lots of coffee was on hand!! Overall, it was a place that we will come back to if and when we come to enjoy a play at the Lighthouse Theatre in the near future!! Thanks so much Judith for a wonderful stay!

Wonderfully restful spot to stay on our cycling adventure in the Niagara Region. Judith is a wonderful host that welcomed us and made us all feel at home with a great night's rest and a fabulous breakfast to send us on our way for our next day's adventure on the road. Thanks Judith and hope to see you again.

The Talwood Manor is beautiful and lovingly maintained. Our breakfast of Eggs Benedict, fruit, pomegranate juice, coffee and yogurt was excellent. All the rooms are well appointed and very comfortable. Judy is great host with an amazing knowledge of the local history and the surrounding restaurants. We have stayed with Judy many times and are planning our next visit.

This is the second time we have stopped into Talwood Manor on a yearly Greater Niagara Bike route (150km loop in the region which is mostly on dedicated bike trails - no traffic). It is a perfect distance from St Catharines and Niagara Falls for a stop. And, wow, what a spectacular place. Judith takes great pride in her local region, home decor, and hosting guests. This is the breed of bed and breakfast that seems to be quickly disappearing with AirBnB do it yourself stuff out there. But, when biking, the last thing we want to do is go shopping for our own food - it is time to be treated to great meals. And the 3 course breakfast at Tallwood is definitely a great way to start a day of biking (she even packed up her amazing pumpkin muffins for our mid-morning snack). Thanks, Judith. Already considering a ride for next year again!…

Talwood is situated close to the Friendship and Welland Canal Bike trails. Judith is a great host with interesting and useful information. The breakfast was delicious and cooked to perfection. We were able to leave our car at Talwood while we rode our bikes on circle route through the Niagara Region. We highly recommend this Bed and Breakfast which is in walking distance to all the stores and restaurants.

We were greeted very warmly by Judith and she showered us with little touches from start to finish. The house is beautiful (and very clean) and full of antiques. The location is ideal, close to everything. The breakfast was hearty and delicious. We were on our bikes, so Judith packed us a few slices of a delicious lemon bread for the road that she had baked and filled-up our bottles with fresh cold water. Our stay although short was very pleasant. We will definitely return the next time we visit Port Colborne. Mireille and Marcel Plantagenet, Ontario

We had a beautiful room complete with a canopy bed (The Tudor Room). Very warm and cozy. We had an amazing time as it was first class. We visited Port Colborne to enjoy the Canal Days festivities over the Civic Day long weekend in August and our stay made our visit that much more special. The host Judith also recommended various site seeing opportunities nearby to provide that additional "special touch" . I would highly recommend this property when visiting Port Colborne ON.

We had a fabulous stay at this B and B. Judith is a very welcoming host and had helpful suggestions for places to eat and see. She washed and filled our water bottles with ice water when we headed out in the morning. Cold drinks, coffee, tea available outside our room and the breakfast was an amazing 3 courses. We enjoyed sitting on the enclosed front porch and also the gazebo. Top notch!
