I wasn't expecting much but -- Good basic accommodations with friendly host. Clean and well equipped rooms with fridges & microwaves and everything you could need in each room. I'd return for sure. Decent rates for what you get and very pleasant proprietor.

We were pleasantly surprised by the comfort and cleanliness of this place. The bed and pillows were soft but supportive. The bathroom was clean. Dispensers in the lobby offered coffee, hot chocolate, and hot water at any hour. The attached restaurant had a basic menu, but prices seemed reasonable. Bonus: Tim Hortons and LCBO across the road.

I went to this restaurant on Oct.12 2014 and had the best thanksgiving dinner I have ever had at a restaurant ever had. After you picked up your food the plate was so hot you could hardley get back to your table. the food was grate just like home made. There was two kind of potatoes two kinds of meat... More

I have traveled extensively, all continents except Antarctica, and have found that when you stay in somewhat-remote small towns, accommodations can be a bit catch as catch can. I have never in all my travels (60+ countries) encountered a more gracious, accommodating, or helpful pair of hosts than the owner Joe and his wife. We were gathered there for a... More

We needed a place to stay for one night while visiting family in the area and made a choice to stay 6... More

The bedding seemed clean. That is the only good thing I have to say about staying here. Garbage in the ice bucket and old shampoo in the bathroom. No remote for the TV. Pool out of service. Lobby was a mess. (Old tables and chairs) Morning coffee was undrinkable and only a couple of packets of sugar. No milk or... More

We have moved to this area recently and decided that we would give this restaurant/bar/roadhouse a try for supper. This was the first and only time we will be going there. There is only about 8 items on the menu and everything is frozen not fresh. Hubby ordered a burger and fries and the burger was nothing more then a... More

My husband Kevin & I stayed at the King Hotel just before New Years and just thought I would write up a quick little note to say that we enjoyed our stay & the price was right. Our room was clean and warm. The owners of the hotel are very good hard working people and they made us feel comfortable... More
