Crane's Lochaven is truly a diamond in the rough. What was looking like a ruined long weekend, for my fiance and I, turned out to be an absolutely amazing vacation. We stumbled onto Crane's Lochaven after spending the first night of our long weekend in a cockroach infested cabin at another resort...not exactly what we had in mind. We left... More

We booked this place last minute for a quick 2 night boys trip. Myself, my father, father in law and 4.5 yr old son. We had a great time. Caught some decent fish for the short trip we were there. We had a guide (Jerry) on the 1 full day we were there and had an awesome time fishing all... More

My husband and I recently stayed at the Lochaven Lodge for the first time and we will definitely be back. The accommodations were lovely, the food plentiful and the service and hospitality was outstanding. We recommend it highly and look forward to our next visit... Hopefully soon!

We have been going to see Ed and Sue at Lochaven for a few years now. They are really easy going people who have a real interest in that you have a good time. They meals are well prepared with good variety and you can get an extra plate if you are really hungry. We usually fish there in the... More

I had been to cranes 2 times over 25 years ago. I went back in August and took 7 friends along for 7 days. Everything was great from the cabin to the food to the fishing. I gained 10 pounds in those 7 days that's how good the food was and plenty of it. You can not get better hosts... More

This was our 7th visit to Cranes Loch Haven Wilderness Lodge. It is like visiting family. Can't say enough great things about the owners and the staff! Love the fishing too! This is my annual trip to "heaven". The French River offers a wide variety of fishing experiences for all levels of fisherpeople! Every trip we meet people who have... More

We spent 3 days at this picturesquee lodge the weekend of October 4 2013. The peace , tranquility and quiet were worth the price of admission. The stars at night spectacular - no city lights. There were 4 of us and we were given cabin 12 The bath and bedrooms were spotless and very comfortable. The beds were warm and... More

The location, the fishing, the staff, the food, the lodging, the atmosphere; It's all Top Notch! To be honest if you go here and have any complaints it is likely YOU that is the issue. We are making this an annual trip now. Thank you Crane Family and Staff! Dan B. Shelburne, ON

I just returned home from my third trip to Crane's and am currently trying to figure out how I can get back this Fall. For me, it is truly home away from home. The hospitality at Lochaven is second to none. Although led by the owners, the welcoming spirit is exuded by all staff members. "Part of the family" is... More

This was my 24th year to stay at Lochaven Lodge. It is like a family reunion every spring. The camp's strong suit is the hospitality you receive. From the owners to the entire crew, you are always treated with smiles and a caring attitude. As with all Canadian fishing, it is sometimes fantastic and sometimes slow. In recent years the... More
