We found the resort on the internet, after much searching - we wanted a typical Canadian family holiday on a lake by a beach. Family run for decades with Full Board and daily children's activities. Lumina ticked all the boxes. The resort lived up to expectations; welcome evenings for all the guests with activities for all, good food, the beach... More

We were at the Lumina Resort for a wedding in September 2015. It was a beautiful setting for a wedding but the cost of the room was outrageously expensive for what you got. We were there for 2 nights and the cost of the room was $180.00 a night, so not cheap. We were in the main lodge. The room... More

We are glad that you enjoyed the wedding you attended this fall. I am sorry the accommodation that the Bride and Groom chose for you, did not meet your expectations. We do not advertise that we have Wifi in the rooms or TV'S, there was a big screen television in the Wicker Room off the main lobby for your use,... More

This year we tried something different in Muskoka area. It was a bad idea. Went to tried a Clevelands house. We could stay there for one night, we "ran away" from that place. It was nothing close to the hospitality of Lumina. Kids were complaining every other minute: "Why we didn't go to Lumina. Lumina is 100s time nicer and... More

We just returned from Lumina resort. Lots of positive things to say and some caveats for consideration. The good! 1) Lumina does an excellent job, in my opinion, of rustic cabins with old-school camp charm (think Capture the Flag, croquet, and kids' club). 2) On the first evening, an owner talked about the history of Lumina, and how many visitors... We stayed for a week at the beginning of July in the North Lodge. We have two children aged three and under and had a fantastic week. Our three year old thoroughly enjoyed the kids program and couldn't wait to go every morning. In the afternoons, the kids program was often at the beach. As parents, we had to be... More

We went on a wagjag and didn't expect a lot from the all inclusive breakfast, dinner. We were surprised! Five star food no doubt, we are from Toronto and this food rivals our restaurants. Lauren, our waitress was excellent. The room had a view to the private beach, a balcony, really comfy beds, very clean, great pool, books to read,... More

This is a really nice place to get away to, with a huge lake to explore, especially if you rent out a boat. The evenings by the beach were absolutely breath taking. Definitely a great couple/family get away from the city.

We were at Lumina Resort for a wedding and while we had a good weekend and the wedding was beautiful, Lumina staff (the female owner and her sister) were less than welcoming. Let's start with the food . The wedding dinner was very good and breakfast was included which was nice. The eggs benedict were delicious. Lunch was below average... More

I am glad you enjoyed your weekend at the wedding and that you found the food enjoyable. I am sorry your lunch was not up to your standards, we would have been more than happy to replace it with another if we had been notified. We do not advertise air conditioning in the rooms, and do not often get asked... More

I'm all about whether or not my daughter and I can actually eat when were travelling, so I'll get to food first. No it's not five star and were kind of use to a four at least but having said that, we were pleased with their attempt and we certainly didn't go hungry at any of our meals. The breads... More
