Stayed at the Inn recently and while decent, I was expecting more. The Inn room was rather plain and dated with a TV that didn’t work. Furnishings throughout the property could be a little more lavish (i.e. real flowers and plants instead of fake ones in the lobby, it was spring after all). Dinner was excellent while the lunch and... more

As a business traveller, I was looking for a nice quiet location and this delivered on that. It was quiet, clean basic accomodation. The Inn caters to group events, which was disappointing because the lounge was not available for dining while I was there as private functions had taken over. The dining room was very nice, but a bit fancy... more

We have had several parties at the Elm Hurst Inn. The cooperation was exceptional (Debra MacArthur) as was the food and the service. Yes, they are busy, but, isn't that the sign of a great place? Pricey - take a look at what you're getting. The food, the ambiance, the quality, and the setting is so traditionally Victorian. We have... more

I had stayed at the Elmhurst Inn last month , upon arrival we found out there would be a five hundred dollar (on top of the ridiculous rates being charged already) deposit added to my credit card in case we smoked or "didn't abide by the hotel code". I didnt think much nof it and gave them my card, i... more

We actually were disappointed with our visit to the Elm Hurst Inn at the beginning of March, 2009. From what we could gather, we were one of the only guests at the inn but we were still placed in a room in the basement with glass blocks for a window. It felt a lot like a dungeon. We were not... more

We stayed at the Elm Hurst Inn in February of 2009. Our accommodation was a very large suite with a huge sitting area but small, plain bedroom. The decor in the main room was lovely, but the bedroom was definitely an after- thought. There was a two person Jacuzzi in the room as well. The room was clean and the... more

I wanted to start this review by saying I have NO CLUE how ANYONE could have a negative review about the Elm Hurst Inn. I am a wedding planner and I helped my clients select the Elm Hurst for their wedding which was Sept. 6, 2008. We did read some bad reviews...but when we approached the hotel managers about them...they... more

We were guests at a wedding & this is our take on this property; Upon arriving we noticed not a grand manor but a run-down building in desperate need of repair & renovations. The grounds were borderline tolerable with many badly decorated dollar-store-like figures & shoty concrete work. Once we entered the building we were greeted by old decor to... more

Over the years I've been going to the Elm Hurst Inn with my grandparents and have always enjoyed the grounds, atmosphere and service. My fiancee (now Wife) and I decided to book our wedding here. The meal pricing was exceptionally reasonable (at the time of booking location, food, gratiuities were all included at nice single cost per head), Erin the... more

My husband and I stayed at the Elm Hurst Inn for two nights at the end of April. The hotel itself is really quite wonderful. When you wander the hallways of the place you run into whimsical decorations such as china cabinets displaying old china and crystal, interesting pictures portraying century-old clothing and fashions, suits of armor, iron hanging-birdcages, writing... more
