This excellent B&B is in the Ottawa suburb of Cumberland, a 20 minute drive east of downtown Ottawa in an upscale subdivision. We felt at ease and welcome from the minute we met Richard and Sue. Their home is lovely and the large lawn with mature trees adjoins a woods. Our room was large and nicely appointed with a fireplace,... More

We loved staying with Sue & Richard! We were a large group staying with small children and Sue and Richard responded warmly and graciously to all our requests. The breakfasts were amazing and Sue was so kind to provide us with some of her recipes. Richard was a fantastic host with a great garage filled with treasures that he was... More

Maple Ridge B&B was our home base for a wedding and family reunion. Sue and Richard were incredible hosts, providing us with delicious breakfasts, witty, thoughtful and insightful conversations, driving directions and much more. They were observant of our privacy but were always around when needed. Their B&B is meticulous but warm and inviting with beautiful grounds to lounge about... More

My first experience in a B&B, very lovely setting, lovely room with large ensuite. Breakfast was elegant and grounds were well kept. Enjoyed a lovely walk in the morning before breakfast despite the wet rainy weather. We were the only guests that night and treated like royalty.

Richard and Sue are the most welcoming and down to earth hosts you will ever find. The rooms were huge and absolutely clean. The location is great as a getaway from the city while being within 30 minutes from the city core. Breakfast was great and kept us feeling quite satisfied as we roamed around Ottawa all morning. The rooms... More

We travelled to Ottawa in March 2014, the weather was exceptionally cold, with deep snow. We arrived at Maple Ridge in the late afternoon where Richard and Susan greeted us and had already met our son and showed him to his room. Our room, the Green Room was beautiful, with a spacious bathroom and a comfy sofa, TV, big bed... More

If you want to be steps from the Rideau Canal and the parliament buildings, close to shopping and restaurants, this is not the place for you. If you want to experience country-style ambiance in a wooded setting and peaceful surroundings, this is the perfect place. My husband and I arrived at Ottawa a day early, just before Christmas. Richard and... More

I spent 4 nights at Maple Ridge from July 7 to July 10 and Richard and Susan are very warm caring people. They were very helpful answering any questions I have with regards to how to spend the day in Ottawa. They made sure I was comfortable in my room and made the best French Toast I have ever had.... I'll start off by saying my wife and I aren't what we considered "bed & breakfast" people before we stayed with Richard and Susan. However, a friend of ours got married nearby and we couldn't beat the location. Having stayed at Maple Ridge we would not hesitate to go back. Everything from the grounds, to the room, to the food...
