What we liked about this Hotel…Nothing. The location was sort of satisfactory, but the upkeep of this so called Howard Johnsons establishment left much to be desired and we felt totally unsafe staying there. In fact I would go so far as to say that there has been absolutely no upkeep to this establishment for quite some time. The first... more

A lot of earlier reviews are from before the renovations. My wife & I travel to the Oshawa several times a year, and we usually like to check out different places to stay. Most in the area are okay, but it's hard to find ones with the right combination of features we want (pool, free internet, king beds being the... more

This hotel website shows pictures of clean, renovated rooms. But their rooms are dirty and disgusting .... our room was small, we had peeling drywall/paint, stains all over the room, bugs, spiders, a broken sink and mold on the bathtub tiles and . The room was so small that you can not walk between the bed and the table. Dingy,... more

My wife and I were there on May 23rd to the 24th for my wifes birthday. we had the jacuzzi suite and the romance package. The room was very clean and smelled great. The staff was awsome and when we told them that are phone was not working they fixed it right away. Would i stay there again of course,... more

Thirteen families from our hockey team stayed here in April 2009. The interior rooms were all clean and updated, the pool was fun, the staff was curtious and we were impressed with the selection at the complimentary breakfast. Thankyou for the good time! more

I visited this hotel as an overnight stop during a road trip between Quebec and Michigan. When driving up to the property, it was difficult to see the hotel name due to all the construction going on. The reception area did not look like it was safe to stand in because of all the construction going on during check-in. All... more

This is one motel to avoid. I am not sure the cleaning staff even owns a vaccuum cleaner. The whole place is dusty and in need of a good cleaning. The towels were likely white once upon a time but are now a light brown colour. Don't look behind the furniture or under the beds, what you may find is... more

We stayed here the end of January '08 for a Hockey Tournament, there were 14 families and not one of us had a decent room! First, we were suppose to be all together, but we were spread out over the whole hotel. Second, the rooms were so old and dirty, you didn't want to remove your shoes or sleep under... more

We had booked one nights stay at the HoJo's in Bowmanville due to a family event in the area. We wanted a room that was near the pool so our young daughter could go for a swim without having to travel to far from our room . The room that they gave us, smelled like someone had repeatedly smoked a... more

On a trip home from the east coast we decided to stop for the night as it was getting late and we were getting tired. We found this hotel and saw a sign that read "recently renovated". Well I'd like to know what exactly they renovated, it certainly wasn't the rooms !! The first room they put us in was... more
