What can you say? After spending hours on the Dempster Highway, arriving to Inuvik and checking into the Nova Inn is like finding an oasis in the desert. It isn't a terrible hotel and I would argue that it competes with any discount hotel chain normally found in more populated places such as Super 8 or Days Inn. I have... More

Pleasant reception staff, good air conditioning, comfortable beds, continental breakfast - basic needs met. A good, healthy walk to town (perhaps 2km) so the location might not suit everyone. No in-house restaurant thus a walk or drive is required to head out for dinner. Our shower curtain rod didn't work well and it was repaired within hours. The Nova is... More

I realize that this is a remote area, but this place is well built, has spacious rooms, but lacks maintenance We accepted a room with a broken lock because it was the only clean one they had. This meant having a staff member open the door each time. After check in it became difficult getting back in room and one... More

Although this hotel was booked as part of a tour, so I didn't have a choice (as to my accommodation), I was more than pleasantly surprised as to the quality of the hotel. The rooms were great and really, all you need when you travel is a good shower and a comfy bed! When I had any issues all I... More

Okay, I'll be honest, I though a hotel in Inuvik would be a shack, but this hotel was great. We all got single rooms after a couple of days of rough camping, so a roof over our head would have sufficed, but we were all pleasantly surprised by the luxury of this hotel. Great shower, very comfy bed, close to... More

Just came back from Inuvik and must say I never expected such a wonderful, very clean, friendly hotel! Equivalent to any I've stayed at in Seattle or Vancouver for so much more. Decent price, all the niceties in the bathroom, the a/c which cooled down the room quickly. Excellent instructions on how to operate it in your hotel book! The... More

I recently stayed at the Nova Inn Inuvik for business. The hotel has excellent service, and the front desk folks especially friendly and accomodating. WiFi worked great during my stay, hotel has A/C for the hot days, and a nice fireplace for the cold days. Continental breakfast was also nice, walk to downtown is about 10 to 20 minutes depending... Very impressed with room and decent prices. Friendly staff and decent breakfast as well. Not a lot of selection in town, but I lucked out staying here. I would recomend to anyone travelling to Inuvik.

We've stayed for few nights, on our way to few other Northern communities. What an excellent hotel. The breakfast was OK and included in the price (considering that it can't be easy to have everyday produce delivery in Inuvik). The room was very clean and the employees were extremely helpful and friendly. They've answered all of my questions and were... More

I'm disappointed. The staff claims that the third floor of this hotel is smoke free but it is not. If you are smoke sensitive or allergic you should know that although they SAY there is no smoking on the third floor - there is. And you should know that the regular front desk staff may be in no position to... More

Thank-you for your review. While we do our best to maintain our non-smoking rooms, there are unfortunately guests who choose to neglect the rules and pay the charge for smoking in a non-smoking room. We apologise for the inconvenience that this caused you during your stay and hope that the remaider of your stay was satisfactory. Thank-you again for your... More
