This beautiful old building has been renovated from a previous hospital, and each room is decorated by a theme. The accommodations are very clean, the breakfast choices are excellent and the hostess/owner is a lovely Austrian lady with lots of local information for exploring. Also, the price is right!

We stayed three nights here in the twin bedded Buttercup room. We knew it wasn't en suite but were surprised that our private bathroom was at the other end of the hall. Not a problem, though, and they do provide a bathrobe. Also teddy bears, which were positioned in amusing poses by the chambermaid and by us every day. Our... More

Pardon the pun, but The Maple Inn the former hospital in Parrsboro delivers. It delivers excellent accommodation, service, hospitality. It's convienent to everything and the Inn keepers provide a first class breakfast and work hard to ensure their guest have a first class experience. We booked their theatre package and it was great value for the cost. Try them you'll... More

Highly recommend this B&B - clean, comfortable, very friendly and professional hostess, breakfast exceptionally good. Stayed one night with a friend; only twin bed room available was the Buttercup, which has a dedicated bathroom a short distance down the hall. This wasn't a problem - bathroom was very nice and fully equipped.

This is a very welcoming place to stay in Northern Nova Scotia. We had a most pleasant stay and took advantage of the culinary package at the Wild Caraway Restaurant (reviewed separately). The Host was a most engaging person and her interest in the well being and interests of her customers was a highlight of our visit. She took the... More

Charming old house, luxury bedding and accessories. Scrumptious breakfast, efficient and smiling hostess, who graciously answered all our questions about local attractions. Couldn't wish for a better stopover before the Joggins cliffs!

Took a chance on the Buttercup Room. It is in the front of the house with 2 single beds. We had been travelling a long time and the homey atmosphere allowed us to really get some good sleep. Breakfast (French Toast with Blueberries were delicious). I heard from another guest that white toast (served with eggs) was amazing. Owner was... More

We stayed one night at The Maple Inn while on a bike trip. The owner was memorably kind and gracious--the perfect hostess for a B&B. The breakfast was great--poached egg special on english muffin w/ avocado. We stayed in the Tower Suite, which had 2 bathrooms (one with tub, one with shower) and 2 bedrooms (one with a queen bed,... We spent one night at the Maple Inn during our driving trip around Nova Scotia. We stayed in the Delivery Room as we booked at the last minute and that was available. The room was a bit small but was well-fitted out with queen bed, tv and ceiling fan. En suite bathroom was quite fine with plenty of towels. The... More
