This historic inn was very comfortable, elegant, warm and welcoming. The decor while fitting the period of the home was at the same time comfortable and inviting. Our room with a double and single bed was spacious enough, and it was extremely clean and well kept. The history of the home was very interesting to read about, and the wifi... More

My husband and I just finished traveling all over Nova Scotia. Gillespie Inn was the most elegant B&B we visited. The rooms were beautifully decorated and there was an unrivaled attention to detail in the inn's accommodations. My husband had a food allergy, and the innkeepers went to great lengths to offer him options. It was very much appreciated. Breakfast... More

The Gillespie House Inn is a beautifully restored home with lovely furnishings, large rooms and very friendly owners/hosts. Each room is beautifully appointed and the baths have large soaking tubs but the shower is quite small. Two choices at breakfast as well as bowls of fresh fruit, cereals and toast. Quite a lovely inn.

The owners of this beautiful B&B are wonderful. We were there for a 10km race and they got up extra early to make the runners a take-away breakfast so we could make it to the race on time. They have a beautiful "greeting committee" that consists of two lovely dogs. The gardens around the B&B are lovely to walk or... More

My wife and I just stayed here this past Saturday night for a 10k race we were doing the next morning. We arrived very late around 11:30pm and left very early around 5:30am but were very pleased with the room and service received. Even though the normal breakfast time wasn't until later that morning, the owners/hosts were both up at... More

Loved this place. Friendly welcome with advice and menus available on eateries in town. Great room (number 1) with comfortable seats and a nice view over the front garden. Good breakfast. This was the highest price we paid whilst touring Canada but it was worth it. Would happily return.

We have just returned from a visit to Parrsboro where we attended a weekend family reunion. We chose to stay at the Gillespie House Inn so we could have a peaceful and uncomplicated spot to retreat between the various family events. The rooms were beautifully appointed in Victorian style, with gorgeous linens and comfortable beds. Everything was pristine in terms... More

My two children and I stayed at Gillespie House and were thoroughly charmed by the beautiful rooms, luxurious beds and bathrooms, idyllic gardens, delicious breakfasts and warm welcome by everyone here. The only downside to Gillespie House is leaving it. We will return to Nova Scotia just for the pleasure of coming back to the nicest bed and breakfast I've... More

What wonderful Hosts. I cannot say enough. Walk to town and shops. Stayed in room fronting on house 2nd floor. BEST BED IN ALL OF NOVA SCOTIA. It was so quiet and peaceful. I enjoyed the old fashion tub. The rooms are clean and updated. Such a well kept property. The hosts talk with you but give you privacy too.... More

Thank you so much to all the staff. This was very pleasant, the food was terrific. The room was a bit dirty but we told the front counter and they quickly got us a new room. Highly recommended to anybody passing through.

After waiting a year to post this review I am thinking this guest has made a mistake and sent the review to the wrong place. After checking our records for August last year I cannot find anyone from this guest's hometown registered as a guest at our establishment. In the event that he really was a guest here, I can...
