We visited the Mahone Bay during its annual Scarecrow Festival, and stayed at the Amber Rose Inn for one night. Its location is not too far from the town center, yet it's very quiet despite there were quite a few tourists in town. All rooms are beautifully decorated by the hostess Wendy, who is very warm and helpful. She suggested... More

We enjoyed 2 nights in tbis lovely Inn just beyond the centre of Mahone Bay. Wendy has created a cozy, homey atmosphere with her artistic decorating. The rooms are spacious and very well appointed. Lovely gardens surround the veranda and offer a wonderful spot to relax and enjoy a glass of wine to round off a day. We would definitely... More

Our stay at the Amber Rose Inn was great. It is a lovely setting and the rooms are set up beautifully. Sipping wine on the porch beside her beautiful garden was very restful and relaxing. Wendy is a very accommodating hostess and has attended to all necessary details. It was a lovely place to end a vacation. Heather M

This was our first time staying at a B & B and the Amber Rose will set the bar for our future accommodations. The Inn was impeccably clean with lovely attention to detail. We enjoyed the décor and mostly, the kind attention of Wendy, our hostess. The breakfasts were excellent, homemade, piping hot and plentiful. Susan C

The guest rooms have flower themes, ours being the 'pansy' room. The decor is sumptuous and tasteful. Breakfasts were tasty. Wendy is very agreeable and accommodating. The property has a new self-catering weekly rental in the carriage house that has artful and skilled woodwork and stone work.

we were delighted to stay here for our special celebration. The place was closed for the season but Wendy the owner opened it for us. We enjoyed the cosy, warm place, it is clean and beautiful. The hostess and her husband were a delight to meet. Make sure to visit the gallery that displays local art, Wendy being one of... More

We stayed at the Amber Rose for 2 nights in August - Wendy and George were wonderful hosts - we spent 2 evenings on the back verandah socializing with them. Wendy provided gourmet breakfasts and is obviously interested in creative cooking. The B&B is attached to an art gallery and was tastefully decorated - bed was comfortable - we highly... More

Our stay at the Amber Rose Inn proved to be a wonderful experience. Accommodations were very comfortable, the breakfasts were excellent and the hostess and host proved to be most charming. We felt welcome and spoiled and it quickly became evident that our hosts enjoy sharing and exchanging stories with guests and trying to be helpful in every way. The... More

My friend and I stayed at the Amber Rose June 28 and 29 and were very impressed with both the accommodations and Wendy. She is a fabulous hostess, eager and willing to help us with anything we needed. Our room, complete with pansy decor, was large, comfortable and a real delight. She gave us a tour of the adjoining art... More

We were delighted to find this beautiful B&B that accommodated our family (my husband and two kids 13 and 11) for our last vacation night in Nova Scotia. Our room was spacious and charming, and the innkeepers were so gracious and welcoming. Wendy prepared a delicious breakfast of blueberry pancakes (my son's favorite!) and we loved learning about the area.... More
