Unfriendly host. Breakfast was a joke: cold coffee and cold bacon, NO eggs, NO toasts, plain crepes and a piece of fruit. Spacious rooms but very dusty, not good when you have allergies. I've been sneezing all morning. There is a nice outdoors pool. I wouldn't recommend this place.

We stayed here after a long drive from Cape Breton. Our room was the cosy attic room. Richard was very pleasant and made a smashing breakfast. And gave us some good hints for the Cape Split hike. Kentville info centre isn't on the best site

"Yah breakfast is included. It IS a Bed and BREAKFAST". This was the response I received from the host when I made the mistake of asking the question. Seems to be a canned response for this fellow. If it wasn't so late in the evening, I would have walked there and then. Room was decent, somewhat clean, but extremely dusty.... More

The review below from "C I" below is accurate. While nice in person, I don't believe the current owner (property is for sale) has the customer service and personality traits of a B and B owner. I think the property could use some TLC and more attention to detail. The value and location are acceptable, and nothing in particular made... More

We stayed here for one night on route to our destination on the Bay of Fundy. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our room was upstairs and was very comfortable. We enjoyed the sitting room off of this bedroom. It was equipped with a mini fridge and T.V. The pool area was also very nice. Breakfast was delicious. It was within... More

I would like to start by stating that I did not stay at this Inn. The absolutely horrible reception that I received when calling to book a room was enough to turn me away. To start, the owner was short, clipped in speaking and made me feel as if I were wasting his time. I have never stayed at an... More

Three beds to choose from in the top suite with the turret room. Beautiful older home with great character and comfort. Our wonderful host offered to carry our luggage to the top of this 3 story home. Our sleep was comfortable, the rooms were clean and the breakfast was filling and enjoyable with wonderful shared conversations with a fellow guest.... More

I stayed at the Grand Street Inn on business and was so glad I did!! I stayed in the Carriage House on the lower level and found it to be clean, comfortable and quiet. Richard was a great host and a great cook too! If you're in the area stay at the Grand Street Inn, you won't be disappointed.

We stayed the night of August 19 in the Carriage House. My in-laws and our son stayed in the downstairs room and we stayed in the upstairs room with our daughter. It was quite warm when we arrived so the (very cold) pool was a welcome addition. Our rooms were clean and comfortable. The ceiling fans in each room were... More

Really enjoyed this, Great character to the place. We had the turret room which had plenty of room for four. The breakfast was fantastic; muffins still warm from the baking, saussage and pancakes. A great change from the standard continental breakfast. The owner was very helpful and let me use the office to deal with some correspondence, Worth noting that... More
