The Seawind Landing is in a lovely, remote corner of Nova Scotia - Charlos Cove (not Guysborough as listed here). It is about 30 minutes south of Guysborough. This is a remote location, but it has a lovely restaurant and beautiful grounds. It's right on the water. The rooms are clean and serviceable. The innkeepers are lovely people. There are... More

Me and a buddy stayed at this wonderful establishment only one night (to my chagrin!) as a midway rest point between Halifax and Baddeck (during a motorcycle road trip to the Cabot Trail). Our hosts, David & Anne Marie, were beyond gracious, providing two weary travelers a warm welcome to this hidden gem in Nova Scotia (no exaggeration when I... More

For our 9 year anniversary, we decided to go somewhere nice! We figured we would be fine where it was the end of March and everything would be great. Well, it so happens that we had high winds, snow and ice storms while we were there. Dave and Ann Marie did their best to accomodate us, even when the power... More

We spent (unfortunately) only one night. While probably impossible to find without a GPS (and ours mistakenly led us thru 15 miles of unpaved logging roads because of a closed ferry!) this is a jewel. If you want three days to relax - some local things to see/do- in a beautiful location with great food and charming hosts this it.... More

We stayed a night at Seawind Landing and had a wonderful time. The room was charming, well appointed, with a great view of the sea, a fine shower/tub and excellent wifi internet connection. Dinner was a joy. The onion soup was great, as were the crab cakes. The cod was delicious and the coq-au-vin superb. The local Jost wine was... More

Stayed for Valentine Special. We are now regulars. If the weather permits, it is a must do. The room was just right, the food was fantastic, the ambiance for diner was awesome and the service was supreme!

We stayed here for our last night in Nova Scotia and couldn't have asked for better! Owners are excellent hosts and their dog is gorgeous. Location was lovely with great views across the water from our room (which we were upgraded to.....many thanks:)) Wonderful room with lovely furniture and a verandah with seating to watch the world go by! There... More

This is a wonderful peaceful spot, with a fabulous view of the Atlantic. Your hosts Anne Marie and Dave are the best. The food is amazing, and very reasonably priced. Great value for the money. The resident dogs Emmy Lou and Beaufort make the stay that much more enjoyable. Great place to get away and just veg.

It was challenging to find this inn, which is not really in Larry's River, but at Charlos Cove! But it was worth a bit of confusion for us. We stayed here on the last night of our two-week Nova Scotia B&B tour, and this was truly the most beautiful location of all. We had the Grand Mariner room upstairs in... More

The restaurant has a very European feel to it. Small dining room. Excellent chef/owner. We enjoyed dinner with fresh scallops. The fishermen who dove and harvested the scallops that day were sitting at the table next to us. The service and food was excellent. Asked for wine choice advice and got an excellent glass with my meal. The room was... More
