We stayed 2 nights and had been allocated a small room (inn) in the main building. We chose to upgrade to an upstairs room in the separate building which was larger with a deck outside with fabulous views in all directions. Unfortunately, the bath had not been properly cleaned with black hair around and it took 2 attempts of asking... More

We flew into Halifax, spent the night then rented a car (without a GPS! I highly recommend getting the GPS!) and took a leisurely drive up the Eastern Shore. We got lost (a LOT) and ended up arriving at Seawind Landing at about 10:30 or 11:00 that night. We were exhausted and HUNGRY! Dave and Ann Marie were the most... More

Absolutely fabulous. The hosts, the milieu and the food were all five stars. By far the best place we stayed on our ten day adventure out east. Quiet, spacious, luxurious and immaculate. Add in private secluded ocean beaches with the clearest water I have ever seen on 20 acres. Pure heaven. You gotta stay here.

Seawinds was a surprise discovery on our exploration of Nova Scotia. A true gem on the Eastern Shore. Wonderful amenities, scenery, and delightful innkeepers. Enjoyed the hiking trails. Superb cuisine both at dinner and breakfast. Try David's blueberry French toast! We'll be back.

I can't say that I am as effusive as the other reviewers. The location is beautiful. The room seems somewhat small and it was easy to hear the other guests through the walls. There is not much of a view from the lower floor although it said ocean view. The towels had an odor but I will say that the... More

We loved staying at SeaWind for one night on our way from Halifax to Louisbourg. It's a bit out of the way down the Eastern Shore--the least developed part of NS. (We probably should have taken the highway but chose to follow the more "scenic" Marine Drive, which in future I'd skip.) We had a nice, if smallish, room facing... More

This was our second visit to Seawind Landing, but the first with new owners. The owners could not of been nicer or more accommodating! They were wonderful and very kind people. They even let us use their laundry room, thank you so much. The food was just as wonderful as I remembered for dinner and breakfast . Rooms were nice... More

There is a great deal to praise about the Seawind. The location is remote. Guysborough is the only settlement of any size and with any services anywhere near Charlos Cove, and it's a 35 minute drive away! This remoteness brings with it peace and tranquility. The food at the on site restaurant was fantastic which, given the remote location, was... More

Husband and I stayed for one night in room 8, an upstairs lovely and quaint room with a shared porch in a separate building from the main house. The view was fantastic, the best view we had from a hotel/inn during our 8 night vacation in Nova Scotia, where all hotels/Inns we stayed at had water views. We chose this... More

My wife and I are view connoisseurs and travel extensively to have a view that impresses. SeaWind impresses and then some, leaving a lasting memory with its wraparound 200-plus degree water views completed by the roar of waves punctuated by the occasional greeting call of a loon. You can walk to a cliff to view the action up close or... More
