We travelled 14 days through Nova Scotia+Cape Breton. This was the worst hotel we stayed in. Everything is really old. It smells of an old american hotel. I had two long black hairs in my `fresh towel` and the water pressure in the shower is really low. Regrading the restaurant, it looks really old too. We ordered a Seafood chowder... More

My husband and I stayed 2 nights at Liscombe Lodge on our annual" See Nova Scotia Anniversary Trip". Although we live in Nova Scotia, we had never been to the Eastern Shore. We took the long and winding road from Halifax/Dartmouth to Liscombe Mills; don't be in a hurry as it will take AT LEAST two hours and the highway... More

We had a one night stay here en route to Halifax. Pretty location with nice river views but the resort itself felt like it had seen better days. We had a room in the main building (as opposed to one of the chalets). It was clean and spacious enough (comfortably held 2 double beds) but fairly basic. Highlight was definitely... More

We stayed at the Liscombe lodge for ome night on our trip from Cape Breton to Halifax. Hindsight we could have avoided the D-tour and travelled straight to Halifax as it took us as much time to reach Liscombe via the coastal backroads as it would have taken us to drive straight to Halifax. The resort is somewhat stuck in... More

Liscombe Lodge is a great destination on the Eastern Shore for a family. The setting is peaceful and welcoming along the river. There are lots of things to do for families - from canoeing to tennis and paddleboats and shuffleboard. The rooms are basic motel like rooms (there are also cabins) - with pleasant views of the river. There is... More

We spent several days surfing the web before happening upon the Liscombe Lodge and deciding to book a stay. Let me just say that it was well worth the wait and the work! The resort is literally out in the middle of almost nowhere. The nearest town of any size is Sherbrooke and that's about a twenty five minute drive.... More

We booked a chalet at Liscombe on a BOGO deal off their website so we got an absolutely great price on a chalet for 2 nights. We had a wonderful stay and I'll break it down into three categories below but overall the staff was very kind, approachable and helpful. The resort is a little dated but it has rustic... More

Really enjoyed all the services, games, swimming pool, trails, canoes etc. and our chalet was very comfortable with an excellant breakfast included. Clean room with bar fridge, ironing board, iron, hair dryer, tv, wood stove.

Liscombe Lodge has all that we were looking for in a vacation destination - choice of accommodation - we were in the lodge where all rooms have private balconies overlooking the beautiful river - so relaxing to have the water and woodland literally feet from our deck - a great view in the morning! There is lots to do (all... More

This is a lovely spot if you are looking for a peaceful, relaxing setting. The room we had wasn't special and the bed was so soft we felt like we would fold in half! I was disappointed as I thought for the price it would be nicer. The highlight of the dining room was the view of birds, drawn close... More
