My wife and I stayed for a couple of nights in July. Found it to be a great get away spot. Room in the lodge over looked the river. Walked a couple of hiking trails that were very nice. The fish ladder was worth the walk. Restaraunt was very good and staff very helpful and friendly. Great place to go... More

Myself and my two best friends book a weekend at the lodge with our sons (8,9,and 11). Since there were 6 of us I took our minivan which would fit everyone. we had a leisurely drive from Halifax, until the van started acting up, A/C and radio quit, then the speedometer started to go crazy and I could not climb... Well 4 of us adults decided to go to Liscombe Mills and check into a chalet. The first problem arose when we was directed to a chalet that was in the woods and we had to carry all of our stuff quite a long way, as we could not park close to the chalet. We are all seniors with leg... More

The Christmas gift from our kids was a weekend at the Liscombe Lodge at the end of June 2014. It was a rainy weekend which was disappointing as there are limited things to do in the rain on the Eastern Shore. We had a chalet (#2) on the river which was beautiful. The chalet was nicely equipped, we had a... More

Very nice, older resort with just the right upgrades: new carpets, new bathroom sink, lovely white linen bedding. The dining was far better than expected - gluten free friendly & very good. Interesting options like a quinoa & feta salad - it was so good the first night I had to have it the second night as well. Gluten free... More

We visited here in 2009 and it was a very friendly and scenic Place. The rooms were very comfortable, and a beautiful view of the river right outside the Lodge. They have kayak's, Bikes available to guests and a game room with activities for the kids. The food was excellent

We stayed here for a girls getaway retreat. The services offered were a wonderful array of free activities and paid services. the athletics director was inspirational. Our cabin #20 was beautiful and comfortable. The staff are genial and efficient. Ive stayed here before and my only suggestion is to up the caliber of the buffeter food. Small frequent replenishing and... More

Ok, first off, to all you people complaining about there being no cell reception...this isn't the Resort's fault! You have to drive a few minutes either way up the road before you can use your phone, and besides, YOU'RE ON VACATION. I'm sure your calls can wait...and even then, you have a PHONE IN YOUR ROOM and there's still wi-fi!... More
