We stayed here at the end of the season as the weather was deteriorating but it did not dampen our welcome by Kathy and Carl who were so friendly and hospitable . Their home was so comfortable and warm with a gorgeous open wood fire to welcome us. Our bedroom and ensuite were spotless with added little extras there and... More

On a tour of Annapolis Valley's historic sites, my younger friend and I were lucky to be referred to Karl and Kathy's home, just down the road from the Habitation at Port Royal. We had a suite of two bedrooms with private bathroom, and even a little sitting room where we had our tea and used the internet. All lovingly... More

This was our first time staying at a B&B so we were a little unsure of what to expect. What we got was a fantastic experience that surpassed all of our expectations. Cathy and Karl are lovely people who are kind and welcoming to their guests. The house and rooms were clean and comfortable and there was even a room... More

Apart from the city but on the way to Fort Royal - very nice room - calm and clear - delicious breakfast - host very servicable - great welcome - ok restaurants in the city at 10' by car. Definitely a great stop in our visit of Nova scotia

Stayed here for just the one night. It may look a bit ordinary from the outside but the rooms are lovely, the owner delightful, and she takes care of every detail. Excellent breakfast, too. It may seem a little way out of Annapolis Royal, but it is an easy 10 minute drive back to the restaurants etc.

We stayed for one night in June 2013 and were sorry we had not booked in for longer. Carl and Kathy's beautiful home is amongst wonderful scenery and is most convenient for exploring Annapolis Royal, an interesting old town with lots of history and places to visit. One tip - take Kathy's advice on where to eat in Annapolis Royal.... More

We stayed here with our 2 teenagers and felt very welcome. The hosts are genuinely lovely, the setting delightful and the breakfast delicious. This is a true "european style" b&b in a private home not a hotel style. The location is excellent and very close to Champlain's original fort which is well worth the visit. Annapolis Royal is nearby where... More
