A beautiful home with well appointed rooms throughout. My room, the Bessie, was spacious and bright, with windows facing the front of the house and the Annapolis River, The King bed was welcome and provided the most comfortable sleep after a day of working and travelling. The words "Amazing, Delicious, Fulfilling and Delightful" only begin to describe the two course... More

Fantastic B&B just off the beaten path; yet close enough to town to accommodate your dinner, shopping and recreational desires. Quite, clean, charming. Great hosts who serve up an scrumptious breakfast. I've stayed in several B&B's throughout the province while working, and this one is a favourite for sure. No doubt that I'll be back at the next opportunity that... More

First, let's talk about the hosts. They are really nice welcoming people. When we got there, Anne Marie stopped her music lessons (she gives lessons to kids) to introduce us to the house, the history of the house, old family property, what to do and where to go. When Bill and Ann Marie found out that we were taking the... More

We spent 2 wonderful days at the Seafaring Maiden. With great hosts and wonderful food. It's not often that you can sit around a fire, have a couple glasses of wine and share the days experiences with the other guests and the host. It happens here. A not to be missed.

Our stay at A Seafaring Maiden was pure luck on our part. In search of real estate in Nova Scotia we needed a home base in the Annapolis Royal area to view property. Just by chance of a internet search we came upon this B&B. We have never had such a hospitable couple as Bill and Ann Marie Monk. Their... More

Solo again on one of my unplanned trips, I was fortunate to stay one night at the Seafaring Maiden. The historic building is in top shape keeping the original style of the design but also providing modern features such as WI FI. It was great experience as Bill and Ann Marie were wonderful host! During our first conversation, I mentioned... More

Staying at A Seafaring Maiden fulfilled a long-held wish that we might stay there one day, after we received a tour of the house six years earlier as we happened to stop in front of the house on a bicycling outing one summer vacation. We struck up a conversation with Bill Monk, one of the owners, and he was kind... More

This was my second visit in four months to the Seafaring Maiden and it truly is just like coming home (if my home was clean and peaceful) with better food. Ann Marie and Bill are the ultimate hosts, knowledgeable of the area, friendly and accommodating. I will be back again.

Very delayed review: we stayed at A Seafaring Maiden B&B last July (2013), it's now Oct 2014; I am just getting around to sending a review full of praises! When we returned home last July, it seemed everything "hit the fan" (hence the delayed review) but our memories of a wonderful visit remain as fresh and positive as ever. Bill... More
