We arrived with high hopes based on reviews and website. We were renting an nearby property called the barn . We found it to be a vimplete disappointment. Dark, uncomfortable beds, completely inadequate unappealing kitchen, poorly located bathrooms, peeling vinyl flooring , poor lighting, scary stairs for middle of the nite trips to bathroom. We ate one meal at their... More

This was my first visit to this establishment. We stayed with another couple in one of the two bedroom suites. It had a large sitting area with wood stove, two bedrooms and small bathroom but with a whirlpool tub. The breakfast was included with the stay and was delicious!!! They have homemade bread, fresh eggs, homemade pancakes, great coffee. It... More

The area is just wonderful and you have to see the Indian Summer here. The cabin we were in was run down a bit and many things did not work properly. The place needs to have renovation. Don´t book via booking.com, because information is misleading.

We stayed for 4 nights to go Salmon fishing in the area. We had booked a 2 bedroom cabin but were very pleased to be upgraded to a larger unit (No 18). This made our stay much more comfortable. Fire wood was provided in the unit so we lit the fire every night and it was a delight to enjoy... More

We stayed for three nights in cabin number 22 & 23. The cabin was clean and well equipped for our purposes (be aware there is no food prepping area). Shower worked well, also fridge and microwave. Plenty of firewood was provided for the stove and the communal firepit was great fun. Regular music on at the red barn with dancing.... More

We arrived in the dark for two nights at the Normaway (my husband had 3 different friends urge him to go!) so we had no idea what our surroundings looked like (I highly recommend you have a good understanding of where you are going when driving in this area at night). Our room was clean and modest with two double... More

On the positive side, the staff was very friendly. . .and the place has character associated with being an older inn. (No flat screen TV's here.) We had to change rooms immediately, as our originally assigned room had 50 or more flies all flying around (inside) the one window. After moving rooms, feelings went from disgust to just tolerating that... More

Arrived at Normaway with high expectations based on their website We were to stay off site at The Blue Barn near Dancing Goat Cafe. We arrived at the Barn and entered a dark uninviting converted barn. We had hoped to Cook but gave that up when we saw the poorly equipped kitchen We found 2 barely acceptable mattresses out of... We were trying this on a recommendation from someone who enjoys the barn music sessions. Unfortunately this was not happening the night we were there, but we were up to giving the setting a try. This place is isolated and secluded, no view and no close restaurants open late. Paul (two days on the job) was very accommodating with what... More

I stayed in the Green Cabins @ Normaway two years in a row now and have been pleased both times. The cabins are cozy and clean, each has a wood stove and is stacked with firewood. In the centre of the cabins is a large communal fire pit. Again, lots of wood to burn. Cabin price that particular day was... More
