Traveling as a group we were welcomed with open arms and warm smile. We had rooms in the main house and cottages...great experience all around. Missed the pub being open as it was late in the season. All the more reason to come back! The tour was a great excuse to have a "sample" right after breakfast! You wont be... More

We decided on a chalet perched halfway up the mountain, above the main Inn and distillery. Absolutely incredible. So quiet and peaceful. The one bedroom with double bed had plenty of room for us. The jacuzzi tub and wood stove on the main floor was very romantic. The small kitchen has a sink/stove/fridge combination. The water straight from the tap... More

The Glendora distillery was lovely on the outside, and the grounds were lovely, and the tour had some interesting facts, but I wouldn't reccommend for anyone who doesn't drink whiskey. We did not stay in the cottage.

This is a review of the restaurant, not the hotel. I enjoyed sampling the whisky at the distillery, and they are very knowledgeable about their single malts. We ate at the restaurant, and unfortunately the food was just ok, good but nothing spectacular. Because of a mistake on the part of the host, we waited for almost half an hour... More

Mindblowing single malt, exquisite dinning and stay for the live fiddling before you take a stroll out front with stars like you've never seen before you walk to your room at the adjoining inn, it really doesnt get any better! If youre a single malt connoisseur I highly recommend the back stage pass offered!

The place is gorgeous and very quaint. The food at the pub was delicious - a bit pricey, but very very very good! The tours are a good price and very informative. I'm a big scotch drinker, and wasn't expecting much from a Canadian whiskey made in such a tiny distillery, but I actually found that the Glen Breton Rare... More

We stayed at the Glenora Inn in October 2014. Cabin 11 is a lovely 1 bedroom loft style chalet, it has a double pull out couch/lie low as well. We were greeted to a small pile of wood just inside the door for the stove, don't worry there is electric heat as well. The chalet was equipped with a small... More

I'll start by saying that the premises are absolutely lovely. But the 15 minutes I waited for the distillery visit, I was eaten alive by flies. Over 20 bites on my ankles alone. As for the visit, it was a waste of time. Maybe it's unfair to compare to a distillery visit I made in Scotland (Edradour, about the same... More

This place is something to see. We were there when the fall colors were out in full force and it was amazing. We weren't aware that you could stay there or we would have booked a nights stay. The scotch was great as well. Good on you Cape Breton

The Glenora Inn and Distillery is a short drive south of Inverness, Cape Breton on the Ceilidh Trail, in a remote setting which provides the clear cool waters necessary for the production of Canada’s only single malt whisky. As well as the distillery, there is an inn and a wonderful high end restaurant with an adjacent pub with 2 gentlemen... More
