We stayed at Louisbourg Harbour Inn one night only, but would have wished for more! The room was beautiful with a very nice view on the harbour. It was very clean and spacious. The b&b was very quiet, the breakfast delicious... the best place we tried during our trip in Nova Scotia. This is definitely the place to stay when... More

We had a nice room on the second floor with a queen-size bed and attached bathroom. While we were here in September, we could still enjoy a comfortable couple of hours in the afternoon on the balcony. After it got too chilly we moved to the parlor on the first floor. Very comfortable chairs and light music playing in the... More

We stayed here in Oct/2014. We have never stayed in a B&B prior to this experience. We really enjoyed ourselves, the location was perfect and Parker was a good host (and breakfast cook). He has a long family history of the area and provided us with unique information. It was because of our excellent experience at this B&B, that we... More

we had a wonderful stay here in September . Parker is the best host! The B&B has the right amount of charm without the clutter that so many B&B 's suffer from. Clean? You bet, spotless! Perfect location to visit the fortress of Louisbourg. Breakfast was good, though I would have preferred that it start before 9.

My wife and I stayed here for only one night....unfortunately! We would have loved to have stayed 2 nights, however we had a prepaid package in Baddeck. We had a wonderful stay, went to the fortress in the day, and walked across the street to the playhouse for an intimate concert that evening. The rooms are exceptional; clean, comfortable and... Very quaint inn. Greeted by name on arrival, and afternoon tea offered which was very nice. Lovely room with beautiful view over the harbour. Whirlpool bath which was a lovely treat. Breakfast was the best we have had on our trip. Would definitely stay here again. A very good base for exploring Cape Breton.

We have visited Nova Scotia numerous times and always return to the Louisbourg Harbour Inn for an exceptional experience. The innkeeper Parker is always welcoming and helpful to all the guests...always recommending things to do and places to see (hikes, scenic drives, etc) . HIs breakfasts are comparable to none. He is famous for his fresh fruit popovers that only... More

We stayed here while on a visit to see the "Men of the Deeps" playing at the playhouse theatre. Parker is one amazing host. Upon our arrival he was there to greet us in the most friendly and welcoming manner. We (2 couples) were shown our rooms and given a tour of the house. He then took the time to... More

First let me say that I have unattainable standards for what I want in a hotel room. For this reason I seldom stay at bed and breakfasts, but we made this choice while staying in Louisbourg in Cape Breton. I drove there with a lot of anxiety as we were staying 2 nights. I cannot give this location enough praise!!!!... More

We stayed one night and thought that about right for seeing the fortress as there is not a great deal to see in Lousbourg although the trails near the lighthouse look lovely. We had room 1 with 3 windows and a private deck with a small sitting area and were very comfortable although a coffee machine would have been nice.... More
