Had a great stay at the Island Inn. Nothing fancy about this place, but the rooms are comfortable and clean with all the necessary amenities. Wifi was stable and relatively quick. The inn is located close to a convenience store, restaurants, a bank, and the liquor store. The staff was very warm, welcoming and helpful. Will definitely consider another stay... More

My husband and I stayed here for just one night. We picked it because of the convenient location right on the Cabot Trail as well as price. It was clean and comfortable. However, it needs updating, our door to our room was difficult to close, it was hot upstairs, and there were other guests relaxing on the shared balcony right... More

Not the best. Our bathroom had been updated and the bed ok. The carpets throughout need to be updated. Probably the least appealing to the several that we have stayed in. Has great potential though for someone wanting to purchase this property and you have lots of cash to spend on renos. Beautiful wrap around veranda and the location was... More

My brother and I stayed at this B&B over the Labor Day weekend. Only good things to say! It's an absolute gem - if you know what you're going for. It's simple - decor is nothing fancy, bathrooms haven't been updated, the breakfast is a cold buffet. But for $89 we got two double beds, a hot pot of coffee... More

Definitely the worst Inn or B&B we stayed at in our two weeks travelling in Newfoundland and Nova Scotia. Musty old and depressing room, terrible bed, terrible water pressure in the shower. Staff not very accommodating, just there to do their job, not friendly. Breakfast was just passable. For those who like A/C, avoid this place, especially the second floor... More

We stayed here one night, the room was big enough for 5 off us, they had a Playpen for our baby. The bathroom was very nice, the beds could do with an update as one of the beds sunk a little in the middle. The breakfast was basic but adequate. A good location just outside the gates to the national... More

We stayed at a number of inns on our trip and this was one of the least attractive. We would have passed it up altogether but we knew we couldn't get reservations anywhere else that night within a reasonable drive and we were tired from being on the road so long. The rooms were large and clean but very dated... More

This is a reasonable accommodation for the price, and the location is superb. The Staff is amazing, friendly, and helpful. The beds are a little old (bouncy, spring mattresses), and there is no A/C. Recommended improvement - Portable air conditioner. I would have gladly paid an extra $10 for A/C. The staff and location make this place worth staying at.

Room large but beds were not very comfortable. Lots of road noise. Breakfast was not very good relative to other NS or NL B&B's we stayed at. Noticed a for sale sign outside.
