I finally got around to doing this review! :) I feel bad giving Lantern Hill and Hollow 4 stars instead of 5. In many ways, it deserves more than 5 stars. But the lack of some key amenities prevent me from giving it 5 stars. My husband and I stayed in the White Sands room, which is in the main... More

My partner and I enjoyed three nights at one of this property's waterfront cottages. We were delighted with our time here and could easily have stayed three weeks! The cottage [#1] was immaculately clean and well-appointed, and its wrap-around deck overlooked a beach that could have been tropical, with its clear blue water and long stretch of sand. Lantern Hill... More

This place should be #1, if you really compare it to the others. The local is handy, but not right on the hwy as so many others are. The property is pristine and beautiful. We are staying in one of the cottages. (#1) This is closest to the beach, but all the cottages are. The beach is right there and... More

My wife and I stayed here for three nights during a recent visit to Cape Breton Island. The location is very good with a fantastic view out to sea at North Bay. A problem we had was that the Wifi frequently lost its signal, so it wasn't very reliable. However, the cottages themselves are well finished, comfortable and situated in... More

We wanted to stay in Ingonish - we loved this lodge. We had a 2 bedroom cottage on the ocean - very clean, fresh, well appointed, and comfortable. The coop at Neil's Harbor is close enough to acquire groceries so we had lunch out, then fixed a meal on the BBQ later in the evening. A beach bonfire, the sound... More

the property is beautiful, stayed in main house white sands room and thought it was great. Greeting pleasant, helpful for restaurants and area info. Agree about owner engagement, if you are expecting level of interest and conversation shared at some other b and b's it's not the same but fine for us. Very enjoyable stay, beach amazing, view beautiful, grounds... More

The views are beautiful and the location is perfect. Going to sleep hearing the surf is a true pleasure. Everything was clean and the kitchen was well-stocked. Why not 5 stars? It just seems that there is not a lot effort being put into the details (anymore?). Wifi cut out numerous times which made work difficult. The guide to restaurants... More

My husband & I booked a room at the B&B, but were offered a complimentary upgrade to a cottage upon checkin. The grounds were immaculate, with many places to sit & enjoy the gorgeous views. The cottage was clean - fully stocked kitchen (pots, pans, etc.) a BBQ on the deck... 2 large bedrooms and a very clean bathroom. Cottages... More

My wife and I spent the night in one of the houses down by the water. The first thing that hit us as we drove in was the breathtaking view of the ocean. This tiny resort is hidden from the road, and is secluded on it's own private beach. We booked a small cottage and it was very clean, tons... More

We were 2 couples in the area for hiking and kayaking and opted for the two rooms in the main building at the top of the hill. We were there 3 nights. Both rooms were large, clean, nicely decorated and had very comfortable beds. White Sands (upstairs) had a sitting room and fireplace and a slightly larger bath. The in-room... More
