Beautiful location and modern, attractive, roomy cottages. Wish we could have moved this place around with us as we toured Cape Breton! Minor complaint about poor WiFi (this seemed to be the norm for our trip though).

Lantern Hollow is a set of cottages and a main house right on the water in Ingonish Beach. The location is fabulous and the private beach access makes this someplace you will remember. We stayed in the main house which sits above the cottages and has sweeping views. The rooms are large, and well furnished, as are the public areas... More

This is a gorgeous spot along the trail! Great attention to detail, in the rooms and on the grounds. The property is well maintained with flowers and plants everywhere. We stayed in the Oceania room since we booked late and the cabins were full. It was very clean and tidy and was very spacious. We had access to a sitting... More

What a gorgeous place! What a find! We stayed in the oceans room of the main house - king size bed, wonderful view of the ocean, wooden floor, free wifi that worked fast and reliable and the quietest air conditioning system I have ever experienced. It was as if the room climate just happened to be perfect without revealing why...... More

The Lantern Hill and Hollow is very impressive. We stayed in the white sands guest room - comfortable king sized bed, lovely sitting room and large bathroom. Our room was clean and spacious. We did not have our own balcony, but had access to one. A short walk down the hill to the beautiful beach. The service was very friendly... More

The Lantern Hill and Hollow has a perfect locatio, its clean and the customer service is good. Other than that its just decent. The wifi is a bit glitchy the beds a bit uncomfterable etc. I enjoied my stay very much here at the Lantern Hill, but its still overpriced. For 250 a night I simply expected a bit more... More

The fact that we took a lovely, scenic drive through the Cabot Trail only made this destination even better. It was almost as though we discovered a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow! The cottages are lovely, clean and new. We found everything we needed with the exception of paper towel and sugar. Previous places we have... More

Wow! Everything about this place is incredible, from the exceptionally warm welcome and service to the cleanliness of the room, to the absolutely perfect location - right on the beach. I truly felt myself relax from the second that we stepped foot on this beautiful property.....and my only regret is that we didn't stay longer. If you are looking for... More

We just spent 3 nights at Lantern Hill & Hollow and wholeheartedly agree with all of the positive reviews. Sharon--the innkeeper--has created a lovely oasis. From the moment you turn into the driveway you know it will be special. The landscaping is beautiful and the cottages are perfectly situated on the water--well away from the traffic of the Cabot Trail.... More

Spotlessly clean, amazing beachfront location and super quiet. We were there for 5 nights in early June. The cottages and property are very well maintained, and exactly as shown on the Lantern Hill website. All the staff were super friendly and helpful. We would stay here again as the beach is literally on your doorstep. The location is great as... More
