Such a great place to stay. I get tired of cookie-cutter hotels and lodges. Great staff combined with excellent amenities made for a great weekend. The weather wasn't great so the features of this cabin were so important because we spent most of the weekend indoors.

Our particular cabin had a very rustic charm to it, lots of beautiful hardwood and everything was very clean. Staff was super friendly, we had everything we needed and the view was fantastic. If I had to point something out, it's that all our doors were very hard to completely close without a running start and had us worried about... More

We travel a lot and prefer cottages/cabins when they are available. We chose Knotty Pines because they were on the water and we wanted a view. We liked: 1.) the view - lovely view of the bay. We were right on the water and could watch the fishing boats coming and going. 2.) nice deck with table, chairs and grill... More

We drove to Ingonish, during the winter month of February, without much of a plan! We quickly discovered that all of the accommodations and restaurants were closed for the winter season. With less than a quarter tank of gas left we were scrambling to find a place to overnight. Luckily for us, the Knotty Pines Cottages were open year-round. The... More

Our stay was awful, "deluxe cottage" was a crappy building broke into 5 run down filthy rooms. So close to.the highway that you are woken everytime someone drive by. Bathroom floor peeling up, "playground" was a rusted old swing set that I wouldn't let my kids near. The view from the deck was nice but to stay in a cottage... More

Thank you for taking the time to write this review. These reviews are extremely important to us. When problems are not addressed during your stay, there is nothing we can do. We have an area where you can have a bonfire so we are not sure why that statement was made. We apologise that your vacation was ruined. If there... More

A nice clean cottage with an awsome view right from your deck! It is a few miles from town but because of that it is very quiet at night. The cottages are fully equipped and in good condition, the only shortcoming was the bathroom,a bit small and could use a little redo. We found the service excellent and friendly! Would stay... More

I am seriously puzzled by the negative reviews. I am very familiar with the Ingonish area and Knotty Pines is my absolute favourite place to stay. We checked in this afternoon and, once again, I was not disappointed. We have perhaps the most beautiful view in the world from our deck, which is well equipped with chairs and even a... More

I was looking for an inexpensive place to stay in Ingonish a few weekends ago and came across Knotty Pines Cottages online. Although they were further away from the center of Ingonish than I would have liked, it was still a very nice area and still only about 7 or 8 minutes away from Ingonish Beach. On the way to... Silverfish in the beds, toaster didn't work, tv didn't work, had to sit sideways on toilet because there's a cabinet in the way, bbq on deck shouldn't be used by humans! one chair only on deck, neighbours drunk and shouting all night. Absolutely NOT worth the money! Had to go to private home across the street to get someone to... More

My fiance and I recently returned from the Knotty Pines. After travelling the Cabot Trail all day we were referred to the Knotty Pines by locals. Upon arriving and touring the various cottages we fell in love instantly. After a short trip to pick up supplies (everything you need is within a 10 minute ride through beautiful scenery) we returned... More
