My favorite place in the Cape Breton Highlands; really enjoyed the old-fashioned junior suite with double bathrooms and amazing views, and the great walks through the trails. Enjoyed the bar and restaurant, and live music too ... .

Stayed here in October and loved it. Been coming here as a family for over 10 years. Coming back in August. Little lounging area with a Pool Table, Ping Pong Table, and even a computer. Beautiful views that you couldn't even get at a 5 star resort in Mexico. Lovely buffet. Staff friendly. Little lounge are to sit in during... More

We loved our stay here. View overlooking the bay, nice variety of dining options. We did the fine dining and we were not disappointed. There is hiking with beautiful ocean view. You may even come upon a moose! Comfortable bed as well. Will stay here again.

This was our second trip to the Keltic Lodge. The first, years ago, fortunately landed us here the evening before a hurricane struck. Since we were there for two days it surely provided the protection and food without even noticing the howling wind and rain during the morning when we awoke (unless one looked outside). This trip brought us here... More

I stayed in the cottages at Keltic Lodge as part of a Cabot Trail weekend over Labour Day. It took me awhile to write this because I had such high hopes for my stay. The Room: The room we were in had a double and a single bed, it was small, but cozy. The beds were comfy, but the bathroom... More

Nothing to write home about. Entering the sitting room you felt royal, but then the too casual attitude of the staff killed the mood. We ordered two dishes to share. We decided eating on a couch felt wrong to us, so we sat at the near by table. They had a few things around to occupy your hands so we... More

This was our first stop during our 4 day drive on the Cabot Trail. We stayed in the main lodge on the 2nd floor. The room and bathroom were clean and the bed was very comfortable. This lodge is not new and modern. It has charm and character with great staff and a view to take your breath away. We... More

I ate at the Sitting Room (one of 3 restaurants at the resort). Setting is certainly nice. Food was very average and expensive for what it was. It is however a convenient place to eat if you want to do a beautiful hike along the ocean. I would not return to go eat but would return to the area.

We were torn after reading numerous criticisms about service, noise, cleanliness, etc. about planning a stay here. We even got a "meh" of a recommendation from a local who advised us they were closed for the season in Mid-October. (The lodge had extended the season by a week at the last moment, and word had not spread.) We crossed our... More

I've been visiting this lovely resort near Ingonish beach in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia for the past few years. It's beautifully situated on top of cliffs overlooking the ocean. It's a real gem and the staff are always helpful and kind. There's usually local live entertainment in the evenings. The food is really amazing and the spa is so relaxing... More
