This hotel looks like a (80's) cheap motel now, especially at "The Inn". Old-fashioned and dusty rooms, tired and cheap furniture, torn curtains, windows "with ocean view" which don't open, noisy air-conditionner (including the neighbour's one that you hear), rough housekeeping, small bathroom. Excessively expensive food for the proposed choice. Nothing except the awesome situation justifies such a rating and... More

The original Lodge was built after WWII and contains "historic" rooms, the main dining room and a large lounge/bar. The ensuite rooms in Lodge are comfortable but somewhat dated. The rooms are a bit noisy and you may certainly here anyone in the hall. The "ocean view" rooms provide a small window out onto the dramatic views. The pool and... More

A wonderful lunch... the food was delicious, presentation was lovely and the service was warm and friendly. It was a lovely stop along the way, it truly is a historic resort with breathtaking views. As you approach the resort and enter the building you are struck by the traditional atmosphere and a charm reminiscent of the by gone days. It... More

I live in Nova Scotia, but have never been to Ingonish until this past week, when friends from Ontario came to visit. We had planned this trip since last summer and so were anticipating a wonderful trip. The hotel's location is spectacular, and many other reviewers have discussed the average meals and the renovations that will need to be done... More

Hard to review the Keltic Lodge because it has such contrasts. The setting is one of the most stunning anywhere in Canada and would viw with the best world wide. The activiries available are great - from the magical walk to Middlehead to golf and a beach. The rooms in the Inn are 70s motel rooms that havnt seen much... More

My husband and I as well as our 8-month-old daughter stayed here for two nights on August 11 and 12. We booked our stay months in advance and glad we did because the hotel seemed full. On check in, we were upgraded to a corner room in the main lodge. The room was so spacious and clean clean clean! There... More

Spent 2 nights here in June 2014. Great location (right next to start of Middle Head Trail) on the Ingonish peninsula. Superb sea views all round. Room was good (double with bath). We didn't have great ocean views (some partial glimpses). Choice of restaurants in this hotel and the associated complex. Food in the Atlantic was okay (family restaurant -... More

We had to make a change in our plans and booked at Keltic Lodge Resort and Spa. It felt like discovering a hidden treasure! We were upgraded to a suite in the main lodge and it was beautiful. The location is stunning. We enjoyed a relaxing evening of entertainment in the Highland Sitting Room. The complimentary breakfast in The Thistle... More

My wife and I stayed two nights this August. The setting is phenomenal. Cannot say enough good things about the location. Breathtaking The lodge hotel itself not bad at all but not luxurious. Older style rooms with a few drawbacks. Ours had a window over a newer outdoor restaurant dining deck, so we had noise and chatter from that below.... More
