The Keltic Lodge has a lot going for it: spectacular grounds and location, dynamite bar, outstanding restaurant that serves some of the best food we had during our two weeks in Nova Scotia. Problem is, the rooms are rundown and neglected. At least ours was, on the second floor of the main lodge. It was spacious, but drastically in need... More

We stayed one night. We didn t stay in the main lodge because my husband need AC and they don t provide it. The first room they gave us was on the main floor #501. We could 'd see the ocean from the room because of the trees. Very disappointed for a $300 value. The AC was not working properly... More

There is definitely value in staying here. The grounds and the views are beautiful. We really enjoyed the coziness of the lounge in the evening. The pool was a bit cold if you enjoying swimming on vacation. One thing that impressed me is that when I approached the front desk to inform them about a minor plumbing issue that we... More

Every staff member was extremely pleasant. From the doorman who would see me from across the room and hold the door open to every one in the dining room. We arrived early and they found a room ready for us, gave directions to a trail and the stay continued to be wonderful. Room was quiet, clean, comfortable with a large... More

That being said, this is a really neat place. Do not miss this place, you can't get this scenery anywhere. We had a place that shows some age, but it's pretty clean and we'd stay here again. Shouldn't be trash outside our wood stack, and for the price, it should be meticulous, it wasn't. The beds are really comfortable. The... More

We stayed at the Lodge for three nights to participate in the wedding of a friends daughter. She had arranged for a group rate so the costs while high were not unacceptable. The Lodge is built in the grand old style - with spacious rooms and lovely ocean and grounds views. It is a special hotel for special events -... More

This hotel looks like a (80's) cheap motel now, especially at "The Inn". Old-fashioned and dusty rooms, tired and cheap furniture, torn curtains, windows "with ocean view" which don't open, noisy air-conditionner (including the neighbour's one that you hear), rough housekeeping, small bathroom. Excessively expensive food for the proposed choice. Nothing except the awesome situation justifies such a rating and... More

The original Lodge was built after WWII and contains "historic" rooms, the main dining room and a large lounge/bar. The ensuite rooms in Lodge are comfortable but somewhat dated. The rooms are a bit noisy and you may certainly here anyone in the hall. The "ocean view" rooms provide a small window out onto the dramatic views. The pool and... More
