This hotel is dark, dank, dated and depressing. There are new owners for this hotel and I am sure they will try to make improvements but really I don't know where they will start because everything needs updating and upgrading. The doors were hard to open, furniture was ancient, coloring and decor dark, television old and poor quality, etc. I... More

We stayed 2 nights as part of a tour. The rooms are very big and comfortable. We had breakfast on both days and dinner on one evening. For breakfast there was a choice of both hot and cold items. All the staff were very friendly and helpful

...I think this is one of the better options. Staff was friendly and helpful. We upgraded the size of our room, so it was spacious for our family of four, and clean, but decorated in the 70s and pretty worn out. Breakfast was good. The price of the Inn was ridiculously expensive for what it is, but my oh my,... More

Stayed here for 2 days before going deeper into the Cabot Trail. Staff was friendly, room was clean and large. Located at far end of town towards Cabot Trail. Worth staying, cit is small so you can walk to most places if u want to.

The place looks a little worn out. I am trying to put my finger on what I did not really like and there is nothing that comes to mind. It was clean but everything seems to have been put together hastily. Considering the price we paid in other places this seems rather overpriced.

Stayed here for one evening during the Cabot Trail Relay. The room was clean and the beds were reasonable. Nothing special to the room, no Microwave or fridge. The staff at reception were friendly. If you are looking for something basic then this hotel will serve you well but if you are looking for luxury then you will need to... More

We stayed here on an organized tour. Laurie's Motor Inn covers the basics but that's it. Shower temperature was inconsistent and spray was weak. Sink was worn and cracked near drain. Laminate wood flooring instead of carpeting was unusual. The place is tired and rooms need updating. Dinner was mediocre. Not sure of other lodging options in the vicinity but... More

We were on an organized tour and the tour company stopped at Laurie's Motor Inn for 2 nights. Cheticamp is very small, so if you MUST stay here, you will survive, however, the rooms are musty, smelly, and in need of a good cleaning. The furniture was in disrepair and uncomfortable. I would suggest you look at the room before... More

Chieticamp is a very small one pony sort of town, a passby on the cabot trail. My boyriend and I stayed here for one night. The staff were friendly and helpfull, the rooms were big, and very clean. You can walk to some good restaurants, didn't have dinner at Laurie's, and walking distance to the whale watching places. The buffet... More

You don't go to Cheticamp to say in an upscale place, good thing. Laurie's was OK, a little expensive for what it was, a little worn and aging, but the room was clean, the shower hot and the food at the buffet breakfast stone cold. I suspect you could do better.
