Cheticamp is a small fishing village of Acadian decent. It is one of the stops on a Caravan tour. Not many motels in this small town but this one is modest by big city standards but works very well in the small town. Run by a couple and they were very friendly and accomodating. We had a good stay there.... More

This motor inn is average in many regards, but it is clean and comfortable. The hot breakfast included with the room is quite good, buffet style. A warning for those using the stairs to climb to the 2nd level rooms: Not only are the stairs narrow but a few have been worn right down with pieces broken off and simply... More

We had two rooms. - One King and one with two queens. Very comfortable, friendly staff and very clean. Even though the rooms seemed outdated in look - the hotel and rooms are fully functional for business or family needs. Laundromat on-site. Full breakfast included with all rooms. Wish there were more Gems like this in the area.

In this Arcadian little fishing village you will find this motel. I would say a little lost in time, but fits the area setting. The hotel consist of several buildings, containing oversize rooms which appear to be decorated in the 70's or 80's but all are very Clean. We stayed here with a tour group and enjoyed it very much.... More

We stayed at the top of the hill. Our room was quite up-to-date, clean and bright. Being an older traveler, I am always Leary of shower/tub facilities. Not only was the bathroom and tub sparkling clean, the tub had a safety bar and surprisingly, a bathmat. The breakfast buffet was very nice. Much more than the usual continental breakfast. Only... We stayed here for 2 nights as part of our Cabot Trail trip. The reception staff are not very helpful preferring to use sarcasm on tired visitors. We were upstairs in the Harbour View block which means schlapping suitcases up a large flight of stairs. Lucky it was upstairs as a coach was parked in front of the block and... More

$148 for room that spears to be the same as it was in the 70's. Dark and dingy. Shower head was cheapest possible and mid shower ran out of hot water. Towels were small and I needed to ask for more. Breakfast included, buffet good and plentiful.

The Inn has 3 buildings with the office at the top of the hill with the (newest?) portion of the inn. There is a building in the middle and then (likely the original units) closer to the road. I was in the building closest to the road so I can only comment about my experience in this section. Pros: The... More

We needed a place to stay while traveling around the Cabot Trail and we saw a good review for Laurie's Motor Inn. I should have known we were in trouble when we walked into the office and the person behind the desk didn't address us right away and then only after we stood over her did she say "so what... More

We really enjoyed our two night stay at Laurie's Motor Inn in Cheticamp. We were in one of the buildings further up the hill on the second floor. Our room was super clean and comfortable. We had a sliding glass door leading to a private patio with a gorgeous view. The owners do a lot with regard to landscaping with... More
