A small clean motel at a reasonable rate. We stayed one night and found the motel to be basic. We had a small fridge and coffee maker in our room. Bed was a bit firm for my liking. It was a cool night and the electric heat worked well.

We pulled in without a reservation and this motel had a room. Just an average room but it was clean. They did have a laundry facility which we took advantage of. View is nice and the owners were quite friendly. No breakfast in the morning.

It was a nice place to stay, very convenient and very nice. There is a river behind it. We saw 2 black baby bears walking along the river while waiting for our friends' arrival. The motel owners are great, who suggest 2 restaurants - all abroad restaurant and Rusty Anchor. I strongly suggest all abroad restaurant, with live fiddle music,... More

We did a fall colours run around the Cabot Trail and stopped here for the night. Wonderful room with an unbelievable view of the river, mountain and park. Very quiet and clean, owners were very friendly with great advice on area attractions and restaurants. Definitely to be repeated next trip.

During the summer, at a golf tournament, my husband won a free 1 night stay at this motel. Given we live about a kilometer from the hotel, we felt it would have been a better prize for someone living outside Cheticamp. We planned on giving it away. But my husband's birthday was coming up and I decided to surprise him... More

If cycling the Cabot Trail, this is the BEST location to take off into the National Park. The room was quiet and comfortable, and the service was over-the-top. Since the motel is on the edge of town, Greg, the owner offered to shuttle us into town to get some supper. Plans in the future to reopen the restauant at the... More

Stayed 6 nights at this motel while visiting the sites, trails and friends on the coast. The new owners, Greg and Cathy, meet us at the door, they were friendly and very informative of places to see and where to eat in the area. The deluxe room was very spacious and clean and came with a fridge, microwave, coffee maker... More

We stayed 3 nights here in one of the deluxe rooms. As mentioned in other reviews, Greg and Cathy have just taken over this property after the last owner let it go. They have a lot of work to do and we don't envy them. But the location is great if you're interested in doing things in the National Park.... More

After a day of travel through the beautiful mountains of the Cabot Trail we arrived at the Cornerstone. Greg and Cathy welcomed us and showed us around the property. Nestled among the mountains with a river running through you immediately forget about the hustle of daily life. A walk done the path to a serene sitting area was a great... More

Place smelled musty to the point it was hard to breathe. The tv's volume went up and down by itself. I was excited to see a rocking chair to relax in but when I sat in it I found out not only did it not rock anymore it was broken so bad It couldn't even be called a chair anymore.... More
