We stayed here as part of a 4 week trip to the Maritime Provinces and were very pleased. The Inn looks like an old farmhouse and is clean and comfortable. We had a room that had a separate entrance and was on the first floor. We had reservations for one night, but asked to stay for an additional night due... More

We stayed with Jan & Glen for four days and were very comfortable at this B&B. Many of the guests staying at time knew each other from previous visits, and along with our hosts, went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The room was very clean and towels were changed daily. Shampoo, soap, and a hair dryer... More

We're glad that you experienced the unique atmosphere of Auld Farm Inn while you stayed with us. We are lucky to have such a wonderful group of people who return every year to stay with us during the Celtic Colours Festival and as you noted, some of them are B&B owners themselves, which is a wonderful endorsement for us. We... More

Beds were comfy, food was excellent. the site is close to all you might want to do in the Baddeck area -- Alexander Graham Bell museum, Gaelic college, etc etc Price was good and we would go back again

We showed up after 9:30 pm and they were so kind, not upset in the slightest. In fact, we were not the last to arrive because it was the Celtic Colours festival! They showed us around before they invited us to sit with them and watch the live festival on tv for a while. Great company, and great breakfast! She... More

The Celtic Colours Festival brings an amazing atmosphere to the house and we're so glad that you were able to be a part of that experience. It's wonderful that the festival organisers now screen a live performance every night throughout the week. We regularly have 'late arrivals' during the festival and sometimes through the season, it's not a problem and... More

From the moment of our arrival,. Jan and Glen, both from Scotland, made us feel right at home. Ours was Room 5, with an outside entrance and the room was large, quiet and very comfortable. Having travelled quite a distance, we appreciated the comfortable bed and the good night's sleep. Breakfast was good, timely, with a selection of dishes to... More

We appreciate the time you have taken to post your review, thank you. We are glad that you had a comfortable stay in room 5, as we did some serious remedial work to that room last Spring to alleviate a couple of issues that previous guests had brought to our attention. We hope that we will see you back at... More

The rooms were very clean and comfortable and the whole house and guest lounge seemed to be remarkably spick and span - but the hosts being ex Royal Navy would naturally keep everything shipshape and Bristol fashion! We really felt at home here and there were facilities for tea and coffee ( and a biscuit) in the lounge. The setting... More

Shipshape and Bristol fashion is what we strive to achieve, as we believe that it is nothing short of what our guests would expect, so we're very pleased that we were able to deliver that for you. The innkeepers, Jan and Glenn went out of their way to help guests navigate the area and gave great recommendations for spots to visit. The Inn is only a short drive to the town of Baddeck. Our room was on the second floor with a separate entrance. It was very clean. Breakfast had one hot dish and a number of... More

We used this B&B as a base to explore the Cabot Trail. The owners were extremely helpful and ready to give us advice and tips about exploring the area. The breakfasts were very generous and comprehensive and we were welcome to use the cosy sitting room and help ourselves to hot drinks and biscuits out of ours. A real home... More

'A real home from home' is a phrase that many of our guests use, which tells us that we have achieved one of our goals with the B&B. Baddeck is nicely placed as the geographical centre of Cape Breton Island, so it's perfect as a base for exploring the island. The Cabot Trail, The Alexander Graham Bell Historic Site, Fortress... My wife and I started our Cabot trail adventure here. The Inn keepers are friendly and very knowledgeable of local attractions. As well helped us plan our trip around the National Park. The hot breakfast (farm fresh eggs) was exceptional. The accommodations were very clean, everything sparkled.

We're delighted that we were able to help you enjoy your trip around the Highlands National Park while doing the Cabot Trail. We learn so much from guests when they share their knowledge while on their travels, so it's only fair that we share with others to enhance their experiences while in the area. Baddeck is the beginning and end... More

Excellent, caring, personable, interesting innkeepers. Quiet locale; scenic farm pastures. Tasty breakfast including a bit of a continental buffet, but also simple omeletes. We had room 7, which has a separate entrance, so it was very private and quiet.
