Their logo is: " A view with a room". As soon as you open the door to your room you are looking out a picture window to st Ann's Bay -- just beautiful and gorgeous. Rooms are simple, well accommodated -- flat TV, refrigerator, microwave etc. clean, charming and delightful. Right at the entrance to the sabotage trail.

Beautiful location! We were concerned about the proximity to the roads, but it was very quiet. Our room overlooked the water and we enjoyed watching birds (including bald eagles) glide and dive for fish. The owner gave us some very helpful advice about what to see and where to eat, as well as helping us find a mechanic for some... More

My wife and I stayed at the St Ann’s Motel between 20th and 27th June – this review relates to the Housekeeping Suite not the motel units. First, the location – this surprised me a little when we arrived. Taking the usual view of the site, the Lobster Galley restaurant is on the far left, and the block of motel... More

All the rooms have excellent view of St Ann's Bat. Its like there is a picture hanging in the window. Its nice to stay just in the hotel room if you cant make it outside (due to rain or something). However there is no breakfast. The place is ideally located just beside the Trans Canada Highway. Its managed by a... More

An older traditional hotel room that is clean as a whistle. The giant window over looks the lake that comes up to room. Owners feed a local eagle that comes in every morning for a real up close view. Nice, nice folks that run the place. A great starting or ending spot for the Cabot trail. Head by the Big... More

Stayed here for two nights while exploring the Cabot Trail in mid-September. What can I say that will not repeat what every other review says??? "A view with a room" says it all. Take a look at the photos. Spotlessly clean and comfortable. Gracious hosts. It is near the highway but the noise didn't bother us at all. We would... More

My siblings and I sent our parents to Cape Breton for their 50th Wedding anniversary. They stayed at St. Ann's for one night after driving the Cabot Trail. St. Ann's is at the end of the trail so it was a perfect spot. The view from the rooms are spectacular. When they arrived at the motel they found that the... More

The owners Doug and Christine Coolen live on the premises and their quote "a view with a room" tells the story. This pristine motel has direct ocean frontage with panoramic view of St Ann's Bay from each room. Fridge, coffee maker, wifi and satellite TV included but you will want to stay unplugged with a camera as your best friend.... More

Immaculate room, comfortable beds, incredible views of Bras D'or Lake, congenial owner. Room nit huge but certainly a fine size for 2 people. Fridge was helpful. The motel is located outside the town of Baddeck, near the Gaelic College.

Wonderful place to stay. The rooms are clean, the location is perfect for touring Cape Breton. You are at the entrance to the Cabot Trail, and yet not far from Sydney if you wanted to spend a day there. The rates are reasonable, and the view is spectacular!! The hosts are wonderful people, helpful and friendly. We will definately stay here... More
