We were in room 2 which has a balcony overlooking the waterfront. The inn is walking distance to most places in Baddeck. King bed very comfortable. Fully equipped including a mini fridge. Very clean and modern. Good wifi. Good continental style breakfast. Excellent location to begin the Cabot Trail drive from.

The inn is comfortable and well maintained and the rooms are large. Some of the rooms are up a long flight of stairs so if you're not the most mobile person you'll need to make sure that you won't be in for a surprise. The place was quiet and very comfortable - no complaints, except the Wi-Fi was sketchy. Breakfast... More

We recently stayed several nights at the Waters Edge and really enjoyed it. The room was very clean and the location was convenient to all the shops and restaurants in town. Breakfast was good and featured local blueberries and fresh made breads and muffins. The hosts (Moira I believe) and her family were extremely friendly and personable. They had many... More

This was the best bed we had in our ten day jaunt through the Maritimes. The staff / owners were very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The hotel is right on the harbor with easy walks to dining and shopping, but not on the packed main drag.

We had a great time at the Water's Edge. Camilla warmly welcomed us right away. Her husband and daughter were delightful too. Breakfast was great. The room was very sweet overlooking the water. They treated us like family and it was lovely to see Camilla carrying her grandson around at breakfast. They were so kind and helpful, even mailed a... More

Spent 4 nites here while exploring Cape Breton and area. Great location close to hiway 104. Across the street from picturesque Baddeck marina. Sailboats at anchor, view of surrounding hills right from your own balcony. Easy walking distance to many eateries, watering holes and shopping. Short walk to Alexander Graham Bell museum. Hiway access to Cabot Trail, Louisbourg etc. Large... More

My room is quaint and cozy, with decor that feels like I'm at my house. The young lady was friendly at our reception and a to tpo it all off, there's a cool art gallery built in too! Just walk across the street and you're at the marina. Beautiful little breakfast room.

Stayed two nights, great base of operation. Across the street from the harbor and yacht club. Friendly staff, studio apartment upstairs has terrific view of harbor. Suggest, however, they get a newer, updated and quieter window air conditioner.

The staff were five star friendly and the location is ideal. Our studio was spacious, comfortable and faced the water. We went kayaking from right outside our front door. The free wifi never worked in our room, which is important because cell reception is very poor in Baddeck. We were impressed with the locally made gluten free toast.
