We just happened to book these accommodations as our plans changed and we ended up staying in Baddeck. This was a wonderful change to our agenda. These accommodations were spacious, clean, and had a local atmosphere. The balcony overlooked the harbourfront and on a warm day, it was a stunning spot to have a glass of vino. You can walk... This was a Lovely relaxing place to stay...we had a balcony or looking the harbour which was great inthe morning and evening. Breakfast was served in the gallery and was fine-the banana bread and fruit pots particularly good.

We stayed here in 2009 and we had to return to the Water Edge Inn this year while visiting Nova Scoita. We stayed three nights in room #1 with a beautiful view of the harbor and small lighthouse.Room #1 was on the second floor with a balcony that we sat on and watched people renting kayaks and paddle boards and... Stayed here for 3 nights in a King size suite on the top floor. The mattress was extremely comfortable and I slept very well. The Inn is a family run business and everyone was very friendly and helpful. The room was well equipped and very clean. Breakfast was good too given the size of the Inn. Home cooked banana bread... We were in room 2 which has a balcony overlooking the waterfront. The inn is walking distance to most places in Baddeck. King bed very comfortable. Fully equipped including a mini fridge. Very clean and modern. Good wifi. Good continental style breakfast. Excellent location to begin the Cabot Trail drive from.

The inn is comfortable and well maintained and the rooms are large. Some of the rooms are up a long flight of stairs so if you're not the most mobile person you'll need to make sure that you won't be in for a surprise. The place was quiet and very comfortable - no complaints, except the Wi-Fi was sketchy. Breakfast... More

We recently stayed several nights at the Waters Edge and really enjoyed it. The room was very clean and the location was convenient to all the shops and restaurants in town. Breakfast was good and featured local blueberries and fresh made breads and muffins. The hosts (Moira I believe) and her family were extremely friendly and personable. They had many... More

This was the best bed we had in our ten day jaunt through the Maritimes. The staff / owners were very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The hotel is right on the harbor with easy walks to dining and shopping, but not on the packed main drag.

We had a great time at the Water's Edge. Camilla warmly welcomed us right away. Her husband and daughter were delightful too. Breakfast was great. The room was very sweet overlooking the water. They treated us like family and it was lovely to see Camilla carrying her grandson around at breakfast. They were so kind and helpful, even mailed a... More

Spent 4 nites here while exploring Cape Breton and area. Great location close to hiway 104. Across the street from picturesque Baddeck marina. Sailboats at anchor, view of surrounding hills right from your own balcony. Easy walking distance to many eateries, watering holes and shopping. Short walk to Alexander Graham Bell museum. Hiway access to Cabot Trail, Louisbourg etc. Large... More
