We spent 4 nights in cottage 2 at McIntyre's Cottages. The cottage was ideal, spacious, clean and very comfortable. The views are amazing. I would never tire of looking at the views from the cottages. The town of Baddeck is lovely and only a 5 min drive from the cottages. The beds were extremely comfortable. The Cape Breton area was... I'm writing this sitting on the porch of cottage 4. View of Bras d'or Lake is fabulous. Our "cottage" adjoins cottage 3 which I didn't expect from the pictures but we barely heard the people on the other side of the wall. Convenient to Cabot trail and a short drive to Baddeck where there is a ceilidh every night in... More

We stayed at McIntyre's Cottages for five nights: Monday - Friday - July 14-18. We selected this place based on the reviews found here on Trip Advisor. I am a strong believer in Trip Advisor and once again it came through for us. On a scale of 1-10 I would rate McIntyre's a 9.5. We are a couple traveling without... More

I will say that I had higher expectations of the cottages solely based on the previous reviews. We arrived and stayed in Cabin 7 which is above the family's garage next to Cabin 8 which is a 2 bedroom I think. We stayed for 2 nights. One definitely knows it is a garage as there are hockey sticks and some... More

These cottages are clean, well-kept, pleasant places to stay, a great value for anyone traveling around the Cabot Trail or visiting the western half of Cape Breton Island. The beds are comfortable, the kitchenette is well-equipped, & management is pleasant to deal with.

We stayed here this winter and it was a really fun time, we actually went as two couples and the cottages are perfect for that. We each booked a duplex style cottage , all night we were able to have a few drinks together and cook together but it was kind of nice that at the end of the night... More

I am writing a late review as my family stayed here July 2013. I stayed in Cottage #5 during my 7-day stay at the McIntyre Cottages. This cottage was able to accommodate 5 people (2 adults, 2 teenagers, 1 child)+ a dog Location- The cottages are located right off of Highway 105, on top of a hill, overlooking the beautiful... More

We stayed here for two nights with our three children (all under 10). Our cottage was awesome. It had everything we needed and plenty of space for all 5 of us. The kids loved the playground. I loved being able to look out at such a gorgeous view. The setting was just magic. We were really impressed that the lady... More

My husband and I decided to have a night out while my parents babysat our 11 week old son. We wanted something picturesque, quiet, and clean. McIntyre's cottage was absolutely perfect! We picked up some beer at the local Big Spruce Brewery, and ordered pizza to be delivered to our cottage. We sat out on the patio and enjoyed the... More
