We stayed 3 nights in the Lighthouse Room. It is the only room overlooking the water and what a view. It is spotlessly clean!!! There are several common areas (inside and outside) so there was somewhere each evening to sit and relax before retiring to our room. Breakfast was prefect the first morning; less items available morning 2 and 3... More

We booked a room last minute and checked in fairly late in the evening. We had to check in at the Telegraph Motel down the street - not really convenient, but it didn't really bother us. The room was on the main floor and was a typical bed/breakfast room - old fashioned, quaint décor. Nevertheless, the bed was pretty comfortable... More

We stayed in the Lighthouse room which had great views across the lake. Although the Dunlop Inn is an old property it has been well modernised and is very comfortable. Downstairs there a TV room/sunroom which has wonderful views across the lake, a reading room and kitchen. There is also a patio and area near the edge of the lake... More

We selected the Dunlop Inn for its waterfront location in Baddeck and were very pleased. We launched kayaks with ease from the rear of the property and had an enjoyable paddle along the shore, to the scenic lighthouse, and around the island (we brought our own kayaks, but you can rent them in town). Other activities included exploring the Cabot... More

We were lucky to have booked early and stayed in the Lighthouse Room...which is the only room with a view of the lake from my understanding. The room is decorated with a nautical feel and very comfortable. This is a well kept house, with a beautifully renovated kitchen which includes a lovely sitting area. Breakfasts are laid out by Chris... More

This was a pleasant surprise. The waterfront location is superb, and breakfast in the sunny kitchen was delightful.I was up early for sunrise photography, which I was able to do right from the deck and wharf next door. It is within walking distance of the Graham Bell museum, and most restaurants. We stayed in the main floor Mabel Bell room... More

I was pleasantly surprised just HOW close it was to the water. VERY clean, breakfast was lovely & the view was beautiful. We stayed in the Garden Room, which did not have a waterview, but did not matter. Location was perfect as we were able to walk around Baddeck on foot & enjoy the town. We were able to sit... More

We chose this B&B based on Tripadvisor reviews and its location. We wanted to stay right in town, and be able to explore Baddeck on foot as my mobility is somewhat limited. Our room (the Spinnaker) was a bit on the small side, but very clean and had ample storage. It's also the only room without an en suite bath;... More

We arrived at the Dunlop looking forward to our stay. It was our last stop on our week of enjoying the Cabot Trail. We were blown away immediately by the Inn. The house was immaculate. A perfect balance of new and old. We had the lighthouse room, which over looked the bay that Baddeck is situated on, and it was... More

This is a wonderful place to stay in Baddeck -- a great location from which to explore the Cape Breton area. The inn is comfortable and very well maintained with comfortable beds. Having access to the whole house is also a plus. A real plus is the view from the rear of the building. Two of the downstairs rooms -... More
