The inn is very quaint and pretty. It is located in a very picturesque location, with a gorgeous view on their back patio. The room we had was cozy, just a bit odd as their was no adjoining washroom - but we did have access to a private washroom just for us, under lock and key.

This inn is part of the Telegraph House, that's where you pick up your keys for the Dunlop Inn. The Inn is on the water front offering good views of the lake, room two has been freshly decorated and is spotless offering views over the lake, the kitchen area that you have breakfast in has recently been done up, it... We stayed for one night prior to our drive round the Cabot Trail and Cape Breton National Park and wished we had stayed longer. We stayed in the Lighthouse Room which is bright and airy with a great view. The house also has a few sitting areas you can relax in outside of your bedroom and the kitchen is large... More

We stayed at the very comfortable Dunlop Inn for 5 nights in the room overlooking Bras d'Or Lake. The building is a classic style and ideally situated at the edge of the village, giving easy access to the waterfront, shops, cafes, restaurants and also the Alexander Graham Bell Museum, which is well worth visiting. It was Beverley's turn for duty... More

Perfect location, clean rooms, run well, courteous staff, beautiful views overlooking the water. Good breakfast. Nice area to roam the streets. Good restaurants and shops. Beautiful building that is well kept. Walking distance to Alexander Gramm Bell site.

We stayed at the Dunlop Inn for 2 nights and we wished we could have stayed longer. Beverley the Inn Manager was wonderful and so knowledgeable about the area. The rooms were lovely and the beds really comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and all handmade by Beverley. We would stay there again and would recommend it to anyone.

Booked this in March for May visit. On arrival at the sister hotel I was informed that our room had a bathroom down the hall but I could upgrade for six dollars a night plus tax to an enseit room which I reluctantly agreed to. I then found out other guests had better rooms and had booked after me. The... More

We stayed 3 nights in the Lighthouse Room. It is the only room overlooking the water and what a view. It is spotlessly clean!!! There are several common areas (inside and outside) so there was somewhere each evening to sit and relax before retiring to our room. Breakfast was prefect the first morning; less items available morning 2 and 3... More

We booked a room last minute and checked in fairly late in the evening. We had to check in at the Telegraph Motel down the street - not really convenient, but it didn't really bother us. The room was on the main floor and was a typical bed/breakfast room - old fashioned, quaint décor. Nevertheless, the bed was pretty comfortable... More

We stayed in the Lighthouse room which had great views across the lake. Although the Dunlop Inn is an old property it has been well modernised and is very comfortable. Downstairs there a TV room/sunroom which has wonderful views across the lake, a reading room and kitchen. There is also a patio and area near the edge of the lake... More
