As an overnight stay this Auberge has everthing you need. A very nice room, some nice views, and they serve a good breakfast in the morning. The staff are friendly and helpful. We experienced a strange smell in our room and reported that at the reception. They try to solve the problem and explained it got to do with the... More

We stayed at the inn for a week. It was our home base as we travelled are the island. The inn is well situated in the town and has a nice view from the grounds. The rooms are very clean and things are well maintained. The décor is a little dated (pink). The exhaust fan in the bathroom didn't work... More

This was easily the most upscale place we stayed in the Canadian Masritimes countryside on our recent Caravan Tours tour of the Maritime Provences. Gisele's is reached from the street by a long, tree-lined driveway surrounded by long and wide well tended grassy areas. There are three buildings situated on the nicely landscaped property. The good sized rooms are decorated... More

The location of this Inn was beautiful. Onsite laundry room and restaurant. Owner is very gracious and staff very friendly. Free wi-fi. Walking distance to shops, restaurants etc. Rooms are clean and very roomy.

We came back here on a memory, we had such a good meal here 15 years ago and we wanted to recreate the experience ( even after reading the trip advisor reviews ) were had a nice glass of wine, wonderful service, a disappointment about no oysters, a less than savory Caesar salad, a long wait for our entree, my... We stayed overnight at this facility before beginning our counter-clockwise drive around Cape Breton. The setting is reminiscent of Germany's Black Forest, the North Shore of Lake Superior, or the Pacific Northwest. There is a definite European flair. We received a friendly and welcoming greeting when we checked in. Service was great, the dining was excellent, and the room and... More

We stayed at Gisele's for 2 nights. Our room which was in the main building, room 408 was nicely decorated, updated with modern conveniences including a lazy boy recliner and clean. I would however not recommend eating here. We had dinner one night and it was not good. The vegetables were all microwaved and my salmon was undercooked. Very unacceptable.... More

Beautiful building and surrounding area, great rooms with everything you need, and the food is delicious!!! It's an easy walk into town. Our room was quiet and there is an elevator. The TV was on the old side, but you really aren't in the room enough to matter. There is a nice coffee pot, hair blower and other necessities, but... More

The hotel is on a large wooded and landscaped lot just down the road from the main business district of Baddeck and set well back from the road. Rooms were pleasantly decorated and in good condition. The breakfast was good but there are better dinner venues within walking distance. The Wifi was on the blink throughout our two night stay.

This place is just beautiful. The gardens and grounds were gorgeous, the rooms large and graciously old fashioned - NOT do and run down, just classically comfortable. And it's within walking distance of the water and the quaint town of Baddeck, the on-site restaurant is also charming, well run, and the food quite good. After traveling all day along the... More
