We enjoyed our wonderful meal with a view of the lake and great service by Elaine. We suggest that you eat at least one meal with them during your stay in Baddeck. The atmosphere is very comfortable and a little romantic.

The location is ideal, just at the start of the Cabot Trail. I had called earlier in the day to inquire about room availability and when I called back to book, I was given a different price which included breakfast. The customer service representative was extremely friendly and helpful, suggesting heading straight to a pizza place in town upon arrival,... More

Our family stayed 5 days in the MacLeod House, which is on the back of the SilverDart property. We had a lovely 1 bedroom suite with pullout sofa for 2 adults and 2 children. We had originally planned to stay in the center of town, but found the hotel/motel where we had reservations tired and extremely dated, so we started... More

We stayed one night in early June and had a great time. The front desk staff was great. They made dinner reservations for us at the restaurant (which was great), they told us about the property facilities (including a very, very clean coin laundry), gave us walking directions into town, and gave us tips on where to eat on the... My husband booked our room on a travel website. When we checked in they said those rooms have no view and would we like to upgrade for $15 a night. Glad we did our room was very spacious, with a comfortable bed, 2 very comfortable chairs. Bathroom was nice, with sink outside, which we like. Guessing it was recently remodeled.... More

We had seen a few mediocre reviews of The Silver Dart but we were very happy with our choice for a two night stay. We took one of the chalets at the top of the hill above the main hotel with a fantastic view of the Bras D'Or lake from the room or the deck outside the picture window. The... More

We enjoyed our stay at the Silver Dart Lodge. It was clean and the grounds were beautifully kept. The staff at check in were excellent with tons of suggestions for things to see and do. We did not get a chance to try the dinning room but it looked lovely. It is located a short walk to the main street... More

Stayed two nights on an organized tour. Basically, in the middle of nowhere, although you can walk into town. It's not much of a town, but does have some restaurants and shops. The grounds are extensive, including a nature trail behind the hotel. Our room had a veranda, shared with other rooms in the same building, and a very nice... More
