I stayed here for a week during the Celtic Colours festival. Baddeck is a great base, and the Silver Dart itself in an ideal location - and with spectacular views. My bed (in the main lodge) was amongst the comfiest I have ever slept in - ideal for sleep short nights/mornings. The pillows had very little support (you sank into... More

Lots of amenities - great for families - with pool, playground, walking trails and access to the lakeshore. Option of staying in cabins or traditional room. The room was large, clean and comfortable with a nice view across the front lawns and overlooking the lake. The reception and dining areas are in a central building - staff were very pleasant... We stayed at the Silver Dart the last night we were in Nova Scotia and wished we had found it earlier. This is a classy motel with unbelievable views from most of the rooms. More importantly, it is ideally located to the Cabot Trail. There's no time wasted driving to the trail. You will not be disappointed staying here. Their... More

We checked into Chalet 209 for 3 nights as a home base in the Baddeck area. We were thrilled to find a small kitchenette with a microwave, mini fridge and plates, etc. as well as as a Woodstock. My husband and I agreed that the bed was the most comfortable we have ever had in any hotel. The wifi worked... More

On arrival the staff are very helpful and welcoming, helping us sort out a dinner reservation for the night. Our room was very large and clean, with great views of the lake. The room was well appointed and having our own fridge and coffee making facilities was v. useful. Walking distance to shops and restaurants.

Picturesque view from our chalet. The customer service was outstanding and also very welcoming. The McCurdy served a five star meal. The location is centeral to every thing you need to see in Cape Breton. There is a wonderful walking trail down by the water front. The lodge made a long lasting impression of East Coast hospitality.

We felt really lucky to come across this place. We stopped at the visitor center, they made the reservation for us with a great rate. Upon check in we were welcomed by the very friendly staff. Our room was large and totally remodeled, clean with comfortable beds. Our room was in the East wing. The wifi worked well. We enjoyed... More

The staff at the hotel were extremely friendly and very helpful. I Stayed one night in room 26 on the ground floor. Room was large, very clean and had a great view of the lake. Was sharing with a friend so really liked the fact that the bathroom sink and vanity was in a separate area from the bathroom. The... More

Stayed one night. Staff friendly. However at check in was only informed of restaurant hours and when I went for dinner was advised I should have made a reservation. I was then seated in the bar area..and given a menu. I left half and hour later as that was the last I saw of any staff. I had a room... More

I booked this lodge for 1 night since we wouldn’t be able to make a full Cabot Trail trek all the way from Moncton. The lady who took our booking was very pleasant and helpful. I booked 3 rooms (Room 18, 19, and 23). Upon entering room 18, you had a beautiful view of the lake. The room was pleasant.... More
