This place has a summery feel so is best in the warmer weather. We were there in mid September and it was still pleaant although the season closes early here. Buildings are mainly wood and 1960s and 70s but in good condition. Breakfast is good. Cosy little bar. View over Bras d"or lake is good. Still Ok at this time... More

We stayed her because of the good reviews. The room was older but very well maintained and clean. The beds were comfortable. They have a really nice program in the evening about the Cabot area. They also had walking trails in the woods behind the motel. You good a coupon for breakfast sandwich in the restaurant.

This was a very pleasant stay. Well up kept property, clean and comfortable. There was a great view from our room looking at Bras d'Or Lake, unfortunately it was too cold to sit outside on the deck/porch. All the staff was friendly & helpful. The breakfast buffet was very good as well as plentiful. Close by to the Cabot Trail... More

We stayed here Thanksgiving Monday. The Silver Dart Lodge property has a nice feel to it something you can't get from the larger players in the hospitality industry You have a sense that the people working there take great pride in what they do. Front desk were polite and made you feel welcome. The room was super clean, but in... More

We stayed here for a week during the 2014 Celtic Colours. The room, in the East building, was comfortable and pretty quiet. The hotel is located close to the center of Baddeck and is just a few minutes from the trans-Canada highway. Our room had a delightful view of Bras D'Ors Lake -- a lovely sight to wake up to.

We stayed in one of the Chalets, since that was all that was available when we made our reservation. The room was clean and fairly large. The furniture and decor seemed dated and the seating was not particularly comfortable. There were two or three bus tours staying at the hotel the night we were there, and because we arrived about... I stayed here for a week during the Celtic Colours festival. Baddeck is a great base, and the Silver Dart itself in an ideal location - and with spectacular views. My bed (in the main lodge) was amongst the comfiest I have ever slept in - ideal for sleep short nights/mornings. The pillows had very little support (you sank into... More

Lots of amenities - great for families - with pool, playground, walking trails and access to the lakeshore. Option of staying in cabins or traditional room. The room was large, clean and comfortable with a nice view across the front lawns and overlooking the lake. The reception and dining areas are in a central building - staff were very pleasant... We stayed at the Silver Dart the last night we were in Nova Scotia and wished we had found it earlier. This is a classy motel with unbelievable views from most of the rooms. More importantly, it is ideally located to the Cabot Trail. There's no time wasted driving to the trail. You will not be disappointed staying here. Their... More

We checked into Chalet 209 for 3 nights as a home base in the Baddeck area. We were thrilled to find a small kitchenette with a microwave, mini fridge and plates, etc. as well as as a Woodstock. My husband and I agreed that the bed was the most comfortable we have ever had in any hotel. The wifi worked... More
