This was our hotel for 3 nights on a Maritimes bus tour. Baddeck is a perfect location to tour Cape Breton ( Cabot Trail, Fortress of Louisbourg, Rita Macneil's Tea House and the city of Sydney ). This was also inventor Alexander Graham Bell's home. Baddeck was one of our favorite locations on our tour. Telegraph House is an older... More

We stayed overnight on our way off of the Cabot Trail. The proprietor (4th generation family-run operation) was great about helping us get a room the next night in Halifax, which proved more difficult than I imagined. Well situated right in town. Motel room with a refrigerator met our needs.

We stayed 2 nights during Celtic Colours and found the hotel to be clean with a friendly staff but the hotel is not really being kept up nicely. Everything worked OK and it was good to be in Baddeck as it is the center of festival activities. There was nothing really wrong with the hotel but there might be nicer... More

We stayed here two nights. Our room was a bit small for a family of four and in need of cosmetic improvements. The shower was fine. At first we thought the price was a bit steep but then we found just about everything here is a bit on the pricey side. The hotel is in the center of town and... More

The hotel is full of historic charm, very clean and very friendly staff. The rooms were very comfortable. The restaurant, even though it is 100% gluten free, is excellent. Most of the food is local, and all of it is very fresh. If you like blueberries, and it is available, have the blueberry sorbet, I woudl go back just for... More

Great old hotel with friendly staff and delightful owners. The interior appears to be completely upgraded and the dine in experience is not to be missed; chef George is in a class of his own. But be careful, my wife wanted to take him home to Hamilton and adopt him.

We were pleasantly surprised to find such a tantalizing menu at Telegraph House restaurant. Although it was quite expensive, the cuisine was extraordinary and apparently Gluten free which may be very important to some. We stayed two nights and one night we opted to avoid the rain by eating in. The meals and deserts were unique and delightful and we... More

We stayed here two nights with a tour group. Our room was in the back..it was nice and quiet. Large room with decent furnishing, nothing exceptional. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Nice breakfast served in the dining room. I am not sure if all guests get a breakfast.

We stayed in the main lodge and our room was hot and stuffy. No AC and only one small window makes for an uncomfortable night of rest. The room was clean bit the water from the shower was almost a trickle. The cover on One of the chairs in our room was thread bare and split. To me it was... More
