The staff were all friendly and helpful including those in the restaurant, which served good food. Best hotel tub/shower I've seen in a long time, with lots of shelves. The location in the center of town cannot be beat, and Baddeck is a perfect base for exploring all of Cape Breton. We could even see a bit of the Bras... More

Nice, quaint Inn, within walking distance of port and shops. Charming rooms, charming restaurant, good service. Great place to base your tour of Cape Breton. Balconies could have been design better, but overall,a fine place.

Had the shortest dinner I have ever had a white tablecloth restaurant (in and out in under 30 minutes). Salad came before my glass of wine arrived. Scallops were in front of me as they were taking away my salad plate. The vegetables served with the the scallops were dreadfully over cooked - small chunks of brownish broccoli, turnip, etc.... There are rooms in the 150 year old home and suites in a separate Inn. We stayed in a beautiful private room in the home, where there is also a nice restaurant. We stayed in the smallest room, which was beautiful with a large ensuite, hardwood floors, and wonderful antiques throughout. We looked at the biggest room which was quite... More

Thank you for your lovely review. Believe it or not--Inn Suite 3 (the room you enjoyed your stay with us in) is also our most economical room rate. I too love this room with it's cozy sleigh bed and bright en suite with the skylight. More

I stayed in room 104. This is a very historical and quaint inn. The furniture and decor were lovely but the room was very small. There was a nice balcony with a pretty view. There was no microwave or fridge. The bathroom was very nice as well as a roomy closet. However, the carpet needs to be stretched. We kept... More

We stayed one night after a long day of driving the Cabot Trail. Room was clean, beds comfortable, t.v. and wifi were available. The carpet however, was loose and lifting. When we arrived, we were told of the water advisory and bottles of water were supplied to our room. No fridge in the room and breakfast was available in their... More

We stayed in the McDirmid building. Room was furnished with antiques or reproductions. Very clean and comfortable. Wish I had planned to stay here for the Cabot Trail experience. This was our last night in the area. The town of Baddeck was cute. If you can get a room with a balcony do that! Great views of lake. There is... More

We had dinner at the Lynwood Inn Restaurant on September 6th. We opted to be seated on the verandah as it was a lovely night. Our water, James, was very personable and provided great local information as well as pride in the meals being served. There were actual photos posted at the entrance, of the different home-cooked meals being offered.... More
