The rooms weren't much larger than the furniture making it feel cramped and difficult to maneuver. The bathroom was a reasonable size. No elevator meant the family was carrying luggage three flights of stairs. Overall it was cramped and over-priced.

Thank you for taking the time to review Lynwood Inn. I am sorry to hear that you found the room cramped and that you had to take your luggage up three flights. Should you stay with us again--we do have more spacious rooms in the heritage building and several of the balcony rooms are larger than our standard size. Regarding... More

my family and I stayed at the Lynwood Cottage for four days in early August. In a word, it was awful. The cottage was dirty, including finding dried blood on a sheet, dreary, uncomfortable, lacked circulation and in desperate need of repair. Examples: the oven door came off when opened by my wife; winter weatherproofing was covering one window in... More

My motorcycle riding buddy has a heart condition which prevents him from walking long distances. Lucky for us the Lynwood Inn is located at the main intersection of town near everything. Convenience store right next door, several restaurants all within a 5 minute walk, and other shops right there too. Most important the St. Michaels Parish Hall is two doors... More

Thank you for your wonderful review! I am happy you found the location convenient and the room comfortable. Hopefully you will stay with us again. If you do, you will find a coffee maker in every room. I have just confirmed with the owner that we are in the process of acquiring coffee makers for all rooms that will have... More

The newer rooms are standard motel rooms. Our older room while it did have character it also felt like it was used for storage by the hotel. We did not have any breakfast or voucher included in our rate so we went elsewhere for all our meals.

I booked the Lynwood Inn based on price and reviews. The room was in the main building with the restaurant. Our room was at the back on the second floor. The room was lovely and so was the bathroom. But the bed was terrible. The mattress made a loud noise every time my husband moved. Also the room air conditioner... More

Lovely room in the old house, extremely comfortable, but very disappointed with breakfast. No lighter options, all fried and stodgy. We had paid for bed and breakfast and were given a voucher with 3 choices, porridge or bacon and eggs with toast and preserves or pancakes with maple syrup. Fruit juice was extra, although because we opted for toast only... More

This is a lovely property, rooms are nice bathrooms are quite small. The staff had no interest in having visitors or not, never told us if and when breakfast would be served, when we did go into the restaurant for breakfast made to feel like we were an inconvenience same the restaurant did open till June 27th, now I understand... Overpriced for value. Food ingredients, towels, bedding all seem to have been bought from the lowest bidder. Would not take tea (hot water and a tea bag back when we decided we didn't want it at breakfast. No decisions are made without the owners consent. His concern for making money over customer comfort was apparent. Room was across from laundry... More

Katrina at the front desk was amazing and was so helpful for us on our honeymoon. She gave us some great information to enjoy our stay in Baddeck. As honeymooners we absolutely loved this place and we would recommend it any day!
