We chose this hotel for its location. We stayed one night before driving the Cabot Trail. The room was very big but the decor was early 1990s and badly needed an update. The onsite restaurants served excellent food in the evening and for breakfast. The breakfast was included and the chefs were very accommodating for a keto friendly diet! I... More

Me and some friends stayed here a few days ago. First of all, we paid prior to arrival without any indication of needing to do so on the website. When we arrived, the place looked amazing: right on the water, cute cabins; a nice looking resort. When we went to check in, we were told that we were actually staying... More

We stayed one night on a road trip to Cape Breton. It looks great when you arrive but the service at the front desk is less than stellar. The room was dated, smelly and desperately needed a good vacuum. The restaurant was packed with a very long wait but the hostess was very helpful in offering other suggestions for where... More

Husband and I stayed here for 3 days in August. We arrived, in the rain, aound 1130 pm having driven from Halifax airport. I had called ahead to make sure that there would be someone at the reception and that there was wifi as I had to do some work ( there is free wifi in the rooms). Randy was... More

Stayed one night w my wife last week on NS road trip. It was an interesting property and seemed pretty nice outside. We got a room in the 'old barn' building. Every entering the old barn there is a nice common area w fireplace chairs and a fridge. The room was bottom shelf. Old motel feel to it. Moldy carpet... More

We were prepared for it to be kind of shabby based on reviews, and were pleasantly surprised by our rooms which were fine. Grounds beautiful, and heavenly cocktails available overlooking the lake. Our stay included a weekend, when it got a lot noisier with weddings and reunions, but everything was kept quiet by about 11. Breakfast not included, and really... More

Beautiful resort, with everything we were looking for in a vacation. Place needs some upgrades, pool liner is old, some cosmetic fix up needed. Reminiscent of a resort in Ontario that we have visited. Restaurant was short staffed for the breakfast but the girls did a great job keeping everyone happy. Kids loved the swim, hot tub good, sauna needs... More

Great spot for a get away! Had a 2 bedroom suite, and a lovely deck on either side to sit and view Brasdor lake. The lakeside restaurant was excellent, our waitress Katrina was super, she waited on us for dinner, then much to our delight was our waitress the next morning. Great room, friendly staff, good food. The village of... More

Perfectly fine. Air conditioning did not work properly. A little dated property. Wanted a hotel as had booked B&B's later in the trip. Included a pedestrian breakfast and definitely more an old style hotel with old TV and minimal amenities.

Lodging is good enough. Clean, but in need of some updating. Great staff. They have a pub & restaurant, but we didn't eat there. Short walk into Baddeck, a very tiny village, a few restaurants, local church hall where nightly celtic music is played ($10 cover) & the Alexander Graham Bell site. Very tiny town. Perfect location for starting or... More
