My wife and I stayed here for two nights at the start of July. We stayed in the Culloden building which was a short walk away from the main reception. The resort is spread over several different buildings and I assume that the accommodation in each block may be slightly different. When we arrived at the room our first thought... More

We paid $127 for a room tax included so reasonable priced but would have gladly paid more for better. The room was so old with uncomfortable beds and it smelled bad. We found an oudour eater on a shelf which didn't help maybe made it worse, very bad room for person with allergies..The bathroom was ancient, when you sat on... More

The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is not a single building on a single foundation so other facilities may be different. The grounds are nicely kept and the buildings all appear to be in very good shape.

Look at the spread of reviews and it tells the whole story: You could love it, "meh" it or hate it. I "meh'd" it. Why? Room shabby. Furniture dated. But as a conference planner, I also looked at ten rooms in one day; and the variety in quality (or lack thereof) was unnerving. Rooms being upgraded as they go as... More

Don't know if Canada has an ADA type law - but this places could use some improvements for handicap access. Meals were very good and the staff was helpful during our stay. As we were leaving our room on the last morning we found ants had decided to move in. While we don't see any during our stay - we... More

The visitors center in Cape Breton recommended this resort and I found it to be more of an Inn. We stayed on the second floor of the main building and the room was decorated like a B & B and we had a huge bathroom. We were offered a special for 2 nights which included a $75 voucher for dinner... More

This was our last stop after a 3 week trip and unfortunately was rather a let down after staying in many excellent places. It has the potential to be a lovely place. The situation is good, the grounds are nice and the staff were lovely. Also, breakfast was excellent. We had an evening meal in the pub on site which... More

The previous reviews are pretty much on the mark. The location is good being just off the center of town making most restaurants and services a moderate walk. Baddeck itself is a great central location for doing the Cabot Trail. The adjacent lake is lovely. the only real negative is the age of the property with inadequate outlets, old fixtures,... More

We stayed in a 2 bedroom unit for one night at Inverary. We had a golf/hotel package and were not disappointed! Loved the room.. very spacious, clean and comfortable for a family of four. Breakfast was very good. Nice shops to check out in Baddeck. Went to the Alexander Graham Bell museum and also played golf at Bell Bay. Lovely... More

We don't normally stay at resort centres but two nights at the Inverary was on a special deal via the tourist centre in Baddeck so we took the offer of $99/night and we weren't disappointed. The resort has over 150 rooms spread over a number of buildings ranging from the main building, some buildings with 9-10 rooms in down to... More
