We stayed at the Heritage House B&B during the Celtic Colours music festival. It was amazing--one of the best B&Bs I have stayed at anywhere. The food was excellent, even by our unreasonably high Californian standards and our host was welcoming and helpful, even to the point of asking us what we'd like for breakfast and when we would like... Stayed here during Celtic Colours, the big October Cape Breton musical festival. Book early! This place is deservedly the number 1 place to stay in the centrally-located Baddeck, and our hosts mentioned that it fills up by mid-July for this festival. I can only add to the other reviews that the Heritage House is unusually quiet for a bed and... More

Sorry for the late review. Stayed here for one night in September, lovely hosts, great breakfast and lovely take away!. Couldnt fault the room, got takeaway pizza from Toms which was excellent. Wish we had gone to the celidh, would have liked a bit longer to explore Baddeck and Cape Breton.

We stayed for three nights in early October (2013) and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Our hosts, Liz and Dick, were gracious, welcoming, with very good advice on places to go, see, and visit. Breakfast each morning was a genuine gourmet experience. The house and our room were spotlessly clean, comfortable, and beautifully appointed. We recommend the Heritage House unabashedly and... More

Again just to add to the great reviews. You cannot help but enjoy your stay here. Great food lovely decor, comfy bed, great hosts. Well worth the stay we were there one night and even though it was relatively out of season it made stopping here well worth it.

I enjoyed Liz so much! She's very sweet and a terrific cook. For breakfast we had a wild blueberry bake that was divine. Her homemade scones are the best I've ever and will ever taste. She gave us some treats to take with us and they were much appreciated as most restaurants on the Cabot trail had closed for the... More

Spent one night at the Baddeck Heritage House B&B. Dick and Liz were gracious hosts, wish we could have stayed longer. The room with ensuite was great, clean and inviting. B&B was close to everything in downtown Baddeck. Liz's breakfast was fantastic. Great location to start your trip around the Cabot Trail. You won't be disappointed if you stay here.

I wish I could tell you all about the Baddeck Heritage House but my husband came down with pneumonia right after we touched down in Halifax. After a few days we realized our business meeting would not end in a lovely leaf tour. Heritage House could not have been nicer about our late cancellation. In fact, I told then not... More

Given all the other wonderfull reviews, it really seems almost redundant to write another one, but after staying there one absolutely has to do so!! Everything was simply perfect. The room was spacious and comfy, the living room was warm and inviting, good parking, the breakfast was superb (and Liz and Dick were kind enough to let us have a... More

We spent just one night here on our trip around Cape Breton Island. The next morning as we were walking to the car to leave, my husband remarked, "Those are the nicest hosts we've met at any bed and breakfasts." I had to agree--Liz and Dick really make you feel welcome, and are so helpful, without being 'pushy'. We had... More
