Liz and Dick run a lovely B&B. Rooms are comfortable. There are outdoor decks so you can sit in the sunshine. Small indoor seating area that made a good meeting spot for fellow travellers. Liz cooks 3 different choices for breakfast. If you stay 3 nights you can sample all 3! She is a wonderful baker and any scones or... More

we stayed 3 nights with Liz and Dick, 8/31 thru 9/2/2014 in the Cape Breton room, king size bed, ensuite, first class and this is coming from people who don't stay in B&B! The only thing that exceeded their hospitality was Liz's breakfast, especially the homemade scones and banana bread. Great location, you can walk to all the restaurants.

My wife and I spent one night in the Baddeck Heritage House B&B. We don't usually stay in B&Bs, but have changed our view after staying here. It was a wonderful experience made all the better by our warm and caring hosts. We arrived late (around 8 pm) but when we pulled up, Dick came out to greet us and... More

We loved staying with Liz and Dick. We had the room with the private entrance at the side of the house, which allowed us to come and go without entering the main house. It was large, nice bathroom, tastefully decorated. New tiles and flooring, fresh paint. We absolutely loved the breakfast, and recipes. Liz is a wonderful cook, top class.... More

Baddeck is "the" spot to begin your exploration of Cape Breton and the Heritage House was a great spot to call home while we were in the region. Dick made great suggestions of what to do while in town and Liz made the most amazing breakfasts-I am still dreaming of the Dutch Baby pancake, scones and lemon/orange bread that I... More

We enjoyed a great stay here - our first to Baddeck! Liz & Dick are excellent hosts, well prepared and there for your holiday needs with local knowledge and help. We stayed in the basement room, which was very peaceful and restful, comfy bed. Breakfast was certainly a highlight with a special selection of recipe dishes to start the day.... More

Liz and Dick made sure that they attend to every need of their guests. We felt totally at home and loved our room, wonderful bed and excellent bathroom. Breakfasts were superb with the benefit of scones to take away for lunch. The town has a lot to offer with great restaurants and attractions such as the Alexander Graham Bell museum.

Almost everything is within within walking distance. Nightly Ceilidh less than two blocks away if you want great music. Wonderful hosts, fabulous breakfasts. Lots of restaurants also a short walk away.

We spent only one night at the Baddeck Heritage House, but it was a good night (and breakfast the next day was terrific). Dick and Liz were great hosts, well organized, professional, personable and very helpful and informative. They gave us directions to the docks, where a regatta was underway, and to a very good lobster-supper restaurant, and also gave... More

My husband and I travelled through the Maritimes for 6 weeks, staying at mostly B & B's. This was definitely one of our favorites. The location is great - off the main road which is very difficult to find in Nova Scotia or PEI. They have a lovely patio and sitting area which was wonderful and you can easily walk... More
