I stayed here as I had a kayak trip the following day. The room was comfortable and clean and the amenities were just as described when I booked. Mrs Reid was very helpful and even came to the room with her phone so the kayak company could change our start time for the following day. A good selection of food,... More

We stayed here because we had scheduled a kayak trip and this is a convenient location. Happily we discovered it was also extremely clean, quiet, and comfortable. The bed provided good rest. We loved being on the farm, meeting the Reids, and being so close to the beach. The grocery down the road is also a clean restaurant with delicious... More

We stayed in the motel-like rooms behind the main farmhouse. They were very clean and comfortable. We were right in the middle of a working farm, but it was remarkably quiet. The Reids could not have been more friendly and helpful, recommending places to eat and things to do, and offering to make reservations for us. There are comfortable chairs... More

Stayed in one of the "Motel" type suites right behind the family farm house. There a two other cottages you could also choose to rent. A working farm, that had no noise or gross smells. Very surprised. The service and help provided for this stay was great. If you want to have a view of the ocean, select the Bayvista... More

My daughter and I stayed at Reid's Tourist home for a wonderful week, it was very relaxing and comfortable, The Reid's were very friendly and very helpful to us. We stayed in the cottage close to the owners' main house for two days. When we arrived, the owners greeted us warmly, but we were asked to pay in advance despite we had given our credit card info when we made reservations. This is the only case we were asked to do so in our three-week trip in Ontario, Nova... More

We were just passing through to PEI on Saturday night. We were referred to the Tourist Home by another hotelier. Really peaceful experience. We stayed in the former bunkhouse that has been converted into 4 rooms like a motel. You are literally in the parking lot of a working farm with scattered farm vehicles and barns but that's what makes... More

The Reid's are so friendly and welcoming. Our room was spotless and had a sitting area in the front and a bedroom in the back. Advocate Harbor is a lovely town and would love to go back and spend a couple of weeks -- I feel like I left a piece of my heart there. There is not one souvenir... More

We stayed here during our Nova Scotia vacation. The owners were very helpful, the rooms were clean. We stayed at both cottages. Very good value for 4 of us. The cottages are a bit spartan. Overall, we were ok with our stay. Unfortunately, my wife has a bad back and is particularly picky about bed firmness, and both cottages' mattesses... More
