We stayed here 2 nights. Fantastic presentation of her breakfast. She makes her own bar soap and sells it and she will do your laundry for a small fee. Very nice lady. We went to a dinner theatre and then a small play in the church.

A quaint establishment which evokes memories of England. The owner, Karen, has managed to create a homely feel. She has thoughtfully attended to little details. Our room was of a good size as was the bathroom. The fact that there was no TV in our room was not a great problem as it encouraged us to move into the living... More

My wife and son (16) stayed here for two nights during August and had a lovely time discovering the beautiful village of Trinity. The house is beautiful with tons of character, supported by Karen who is a marvellous host and makes tremendous breakfasts. We stayed in the en suite room at the back of the house, which was excellent for... More

This is a wonderful 3 room B and B with private bathrooms. Two of the rooms have ensuites, and the twin room has it's own bathroom just outside the door. The owner, Karen is most helpful with places to eat and sightseeing suggestions. The rooms are beautifully decorated with handmade quilts and local artwork. Breakfasts are included and delicious. Well... More

We stayed with Karen for two days while visiting Trinty, NL. She is an excellent host, helpful and cooks a great breakfast. She offered laundry service, which was really appreciated. She handed us a sample itinerary for a day that spent exploring the area and her recommendations for places to see/eat were perfect. Thanks so much Karen.

We spent two nights at Maidment House at the end of June 2014 and back everything already written by the others who gave it a 5-star rating. Every piece of advice Karen gave us about Trinity proved to be spot on. (FWIW, Karen and Eric are among only 30 people who live in Trinity year round.) The house is a... More

We loved our stay at the Maidment House. Karen and Eric are amazing hosts, and have personally restored this property. Breakfast was 5 star, and small touches like homemade soap etc made this place extra special.

We recently stayed at this B & B July 12-13. The house has been refurbished but maintains the "old character" . Karen our host always made sure we had everything we wanted and often offered tie bits on what to see & do in the area. She is also bilingual (english/french) which was helpful for my life partner. I would... More

We recently visited the lovely town of Trinity, Newfoundland. Maidment House was an excellent choice for our accommodations. The lovely historic home was very comfortable and the breakfasts were superb. But most importantly, the hostess went out of her way to assist us with our vacation. Karen should be the ambassador for the Trinity area! She knew exactly who to... More

Maidment House is a B & B in a heritage home in Trinity, operated by Karen Huys. We selected it on the recommendation of friends, and were not disappointed. We stayed 2 nights in the Gardenview room on the second floor, with a queen bed and ensuite bath, $125 per night including breakfast. The accommodation was excellent: clean, comfortable, with...
