We stayed here for two nights before catching the ferry to leave Newfoundland. (This was intentional, not because of disruptions caused by Arthur.) Our room was fine, clean and comfortable, and we watched the Wimbledon final on the TV. We ate both nights and breakfasts in the restaurant, and found the food well prepared and good value. The waitress was... More

Stayed here for one night June 19. My mother and I were doing a road trip of Newfoundland and stayed her our last night as it was convenient to the ferry. The staff was so friendly and genuinely nice. We dealt with Melissa when we checked in and she was wonderful - a real people person who was just so... More

If you forget what hotels were like in the 70s a trip down memory lane, stay here! If you'd like to experience a modern hotel that was constructed within the last 10 years, drive on to Deer Lake. The rooms are small. The beds are terrible. The furnishings haven't been updated since the 80s or early 90s and this place... More

I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel and was blown away by the comfort and hospitality. The food and amenities were wonderful. It's convenient location to the ferry terminal made my trip back to North Sydney at 4 in the morning much easier.

Friendly and convenient location. The rooms are small but nicely equipped with a fridge and coffee maker as well as a flat screen tv. WiFi works very well without any annoying time out, which is appreciated. The place is a little dated and the walls are very thin but it's clean and the staff are very nice so it's a... More

We stayed here one night on July 31/13, having crossed on the ferry from Sydney. It was wet & foggy and we did not arrive until 9 pm. We had reservations and checkin was fast. The double room is a bit small for two couples and luggage, however, we are aware we could have booked a larger room. The bathroom... More

This hotel is definitely a 'no frills' hotel, and is in dire need of an upgrade. It is well dated. However, as a stopover to catch the Marine Atlantic Ferry to Nova Scotia, it is the best buy in town as a hotel. The staff there are superb, and their breakfast is very good. The staff will do their very... More

We stayed here on August 25, 2013 and booked it because it was right at the Ferry. Although the rooms are a tad small, they had everything we could have wanted, were spotlessly clean – and had a window that actually opened to let in the cool night air. We did have a room on the ground floor so getting... More

Close to ferry. An overpriced faceless motel. Rooms are rather small and old. I wish they had more competition, the are just two hotels in the city. If the ferry arrive late, there are no alternatives.
