This was a choice of many attractive rooms with gorgeous guilts for bed covers. Very bright, cheerful rooms. Very Reasonable rate. Good view. The sheets were luxurious, so smooth. WiFi is open. Quiet room heater, it was 11 degrees this morning. Thank goodness there was heat inside. Waterfront property, lovely trees, shrubbery, hostas, and a big lawn in Newfoundland. Twenty... More

McClellan Inn is just 30 minutes from the ferry tucked away in a quiet serene country side. Gerald provided excellent driving directions from the ferry terminal so it was easy to find even in the dark. The common area is cozy and comfy. The rooms are large with comfortable beds adorned with beautiful hand made quilts by Marie. Breakfast was... More

Gerald and Marie's Maclellan Inn is a great place to stay. They are very welcoming and the B&B is very clean and comfortable and quiet. Chef Gerald looks after the delicious breakfasts and likes to chat with guests. He offered great advice on local places to visit. We stayed on two separate occasions in July and enjoyed both visits. We... More

We stayed at the MacLellan Inn during a trip to the Codroy Valley for a family wedding. Our room on the second floor at the rear of the property overlooked the Codroy River and the mountains in the distance - a spectacular view. The room was spacious, the bed with a wacky quilt was comfortable, and the ensuite shower had... More

Only 30 minutes away from the ferry but a world away in atmosphere. Lovely views over the lake towards mountains as opposed to the parking you would get in Port aux Basques. The Inn is recently renovated and the host cooks up a pretty good breakfast.

Enjoyed the location of the Inn in beautiful Codroy valley , and enjoyed sitting on the deck looking out on to the water. The room was comfortable - a good size, and was so handy to the door to the upstairs deck outside. Breakfast, although very good, was somewhat disorganized- maybe too many people to handle all at the same... More

Three of us stayed here, June 23. We had the Rose Room ... adjoining rooms with queen beds. Great...except you could not move on either of those beds without making a whole lot of racket. Never heard such noise! Breakfast was an adequate affair cooked by owner Gerald. Setting was really beautiful, and the house was quite comfortable.

We stayed at the Maclellan Inn the evening we arrived in New Foundland. Our room was the "Sunflower" which is on the first floor. The bathroom has a walk-in shower and ample grab bars. We had a queen-size bed. We would like to have had a chair(s) w/some padding instead of the straight-back chairs. Not too comfortable for am evening... More

We stayed here on our first night in Newfoundland. The B&B is close to the ferry, about 20 minutes away in a beautiful valley. Accommodation is good, bed comfortable, very clean and host was awesome. Good breakfast. Would recommend to anyone in the area.
