This delightful hotel is just minutes away from the ferry and a great place to stay before or after a crossing. Rooms were bright and clean.Beds were very comfortable. This is a busy hotel but staff were great and check-in and check-out was quick, with no issues. I was happy to learn the hotel was pet friendly as we were traveling... More

Oh boy, this hotel is so dated. It serves a purpose for people travelling between NS and NL but that is it. Pros: fairly clean, good food in restaurant Cons: wifi is absolute garbage...simply terrible. Hallways are dirty and smell terrible, very noisy.

The hotel is very convenient to the ferry which is why we booked it for both our first and last nights in Newfoundland. Check in/out was easy although. The venue is OK, modest appointments, the rooms are clean and reasonably well maintained but definitely tired, our bed was peculiarly uneven but OK once we got used to it. Apparently the... More

I reserved on line and specifically requested a room near the door or elevator due to 2 of the 3 adults having back problems (making transporting luggage difficult). When I arrived at the hotel there was no parking spaces available for persons with disability parking permits which the 2 adults both have. I mentioned that to the staff at the... More

The room was clean, the staff were friendly. The location is very convenient to the ferry from Cape Breton. It was easy to find despite the fact our GPS didn't help at all. The hallways are long and unattractive though.

Let me start by saying we loved our time in New Foundland! We can deal with an older property if it is clean. No such thing here! The shower was gritty around the drain, the mini fridge had black mold, and one of the blankets had a stain that we'd prefer not to think about... And the vanity light doesn't... More

Service was friendly at front desk, largely comparable in size, price and amenities as Hotel Port Aux Basque across town. Close to Ferry Terminal. Had a nice lunch in restaurant. An ocean view room will give you a good view of the waterfront and vessel comings and goings. While there, take a drive over to Rose Blanche and some of... More

5 minutes from ferry with nice restaurant and bar. Cozy and friendly. Simple and clean. Great location right on the harbor with music and vendors just below every evening in summer. Had a nice cod au gratin and moose stew in the restaurant. We are traveling with our dog so their dog friendly policy was important. Saw a few other... More

Best sleep we had whole trip. Very quiet. Can see the hotel from the ferry and can watch the ferry from the hotel. Lovely town. Hotel old but well maintained. Bar was comfy with the couches and fireplace. Do need to oil the wheels of the luggage dolly as think I woke everybody up. Restaurant however, would rate as poor.... More
