The hotel was a great location for our minor hockey trip to Port aux Basques. The guest rooms were very clean and we all enjoyed a wonderful nights sleep. The food in the restaurant was tasty and efficient. Our team was treated well and we appreciate the upfront discussion about hotel rules! Really enjoyed the views fo the Guld from... More

After a day of traveling the extra clean and comfortable room was so nice to relax in, they had all the amenities we wanted including a mini fridge, free WiFi to keep in contact with our Facebook friends and family. The entire staff were awesome, always helpful and very friendly. The meals were really good, with lots on the menu... More

As the guide books say, you can see this hotel as you arrive by ferry. Comfortable room with everything you need, though a fridge would be a great addition. We had a delicious dinner of moose meatballs and wild mushrooms, with a delicious shared starter of cod's tongues and scruncheons. At breakfast there are excellent fishcakes served with eggs as... Our room was clean and comfortable. Beds were queen size and allowed us a good sleep. The restaurant food was tasty, the service slow, but I want to emphasize NOT due to the one server who did everything but cook. She was constantly on the move taking orders, delivering food and clearing tables, plus she was very pleasant and helpful.... More

Spent one lovely night here on way back to the mainland!! Room was clean and comfortable. Had a traditional meal of cod, potatoes and scrunchions in the dining room in the evening. It was fabulous. The wait staff very informative and friendly. Took a little walk in the evening down through the town and heard Newfie music in an outdoor... More

This hotel is in an excellent location for catching the ferry and for exploring the lovely town of Pt. Aux Basques. We were greeted by friendly staff who were most helpful with our questions. I recognize we were lucky in having a large room with a nice view of the harbour. Also, we chose to pick up some food and... More

We spent 2 weeks touring Newfoundland and could not have been more satisfied with the accommodations at the St Christopher. Coming off the Ferry, the Hotel was easy to find, the desk staff very cordial and the room on the second floor was spacious, comfortably appointed, and clean. On our return trip to the Ferry we stayed 3 days at... More

A good location for catching the ferry back to Nova Scotia. Rooms were basic but comfortable and quiet. Unfortunately the weather did not allow us to do any siteseeing in the area. Restaurant for dinner had extremely poor service. Waiting over 15 minutes after being handed menus and even after ordering waited a long time and restaurant was not even... More

This is my second visit. There are not too many choices when you get off the ferry in the early evening, and don't want to drive a long way that night. This hotel has a captive clientele. I'm afraid it doesn't have to try too hard to keep its customers. It is visible from the ferry as it comes into... More
